I recently purchased the Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator, and I couldn't be more satisfied with its performance. Setting it up was a breeze—I had it ready to go in under 20 minutes. Running it on LP propane was straightforward, and it started up without any issues. This generator is a powerhouse and will undoubtedly be a lifesaver during hurricane-induced power outages. I bought this generator after a hard freeze and the loss of power. Unfortunately, I had damage to my pool and decided I'm not going to be without a generator again. After much reseach, I chose this Westinghouse WGen9500DF because of it's features and the fact that I can use propane or gas. Set up was easy. I have started the generator using propane and let it run for a few minutes. It ran fine. I have not started it on gas, but sure it will be fine.

I purchased a different brand generator over the summer and wasn’t happy with it. I ordered this WGen9500DF unseen except for description and a few pics and I must say I am blown away by the power, the absolute best features and ease of starting. You push the start button and walk away, everything is automatic. You can even start it while your sitting in your house with the remote start feature! Ample power for the entire house. So happy.

I was comparing other manufacturers and the Westinghouse model fits our need for a back up power source and has a good price point. The safety features on this model are also a plus. I would recommend this product because of the value and durability.

Waited several months after last power outage to purchase this generator, out of stock everywhere. Simple set-up, just had to attached the wheels which were big enough to move the unit fairly easy. The manual was thorough and easy to follow. I wanted the dual fuel option and this one easily switches to either gas or propane. The unit's design and controls were straight forward was simple. Overall this generator is solidly built. Will be running a full test this week, so far so good.

Our power can be out for days at times. I am so happy I purchased this generator. It powered my home without fail. It's also comforting to know that if we run out of gas, we can switch to propane. Has several/variety of plug ins which makes it nice. Very good generator!

This generator has the power and dual fuel features I'm looking for to run a portion of my house during power outages and will connect to a 50 amp transfer switch. I have assembled and started the generator on gasoline with no issues. The quart of oil received with the generator was not enough to bring the oil level to the recommended level. I've not tested the propane fuel or really the generator with any load to speak of. It runs smooth, but is pretty loud. My only complaint so far is the packaging. The staples in the product box scratched through the paint on the frame in many places - very annoying.

This things is great! I love all the extra plugs and the fact that I can pretty much run the whole house with it. Dual fuel is a big plus! Been wanting one for a while and after the Texas freeze I decided it was past time to have something for emergencies.

I will preface this review with the fact that it has not been through the paces of an after hurricane power outage. My 5 star review reflects the quality of materials, the initial setup and properly written instructions. If you're in a hurricane prone area, this is a necessary investment, and this model, so far has been excellent. I did plug in multiple devices, and there was no change in the generator's performance. Hopefully I will not need to write a follow up, but if I do, then I will come back and report how things went. Next step is to hire an electrician to install a transfer switch.

I bought this after a recent power outage so I never have to be without power again. Came neatly packaged with a very detailed instructions on assembly. Even came with tools and oil with a funnel. Fired up the very first time and ran my wire feed welder with no hiccups. Now I'm ready for the next power outage with a name like Westinghouse I can trust.
