I purchased two (2) units almost three (3) years ago, one for myself (TX) and one for my mom (SC) and she used hers for the first time after a hurricane in October 2024 and power was lost for a few days. I quickly activated the unit and served well in providing service for my 86-year old mother. Thanks!

I bought the Westinghouse WGen 9500 generator just a month ago. I was very impressed with all that this generator features. The WGen 9500 was easy to start with the push of a button, and has a fuel gauge that is easy to read. The WGen runs a little noisy but can be tolerated. The only problem was when assembling the legs to the main frame there were already welded nuts to the frame that wasn’t lined up right with the holes and it became very difficult to get the bolts in, but worked until I got the bolts to fit right. So, this issue could be looked into from westinghouse company. I am extremely excited to use this generator which offers a lot of options for projects and when power outages occur. Thanks westinghouse. I recommend the WGen9500DF generator.

I purchased this generator as a portable, whole home backup whenever we lose power. The user manual was very easy to read and understand, and after adding oil, gas, and following the start instructions, I had a full functional machine! I am looking forward to the first Midwest ice storm this winter that knocks out the power!

Just got it out of the box and had it put together and running in about half an hour. Instructions are easy to follow. Much quieter then my old, smaller off brand generator. Hope I'll never need it to run the house but I know it will if/when the time comes.

Purchased the generator for emergency home use when power is lost. The generator was well packed/protected and easy to assemble. The operating instructions are clear and simple. It even comes with a remote key fob just like my car. In the event of a power outage, I am ready.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we were without power for 5 days. I expect this generator will make life so much better for us in the event of another extended power outage. One of my neighbors also bought the exact same generator. We are both very glad that we did!

Made the purchase of the WGen9500DFc a week ago. After doing some research this is the Model I chose. Has the features I was looking for on a generator. Duel Fuel, 50 amp plug, 30 amp plug, 4- 120 volt receptacles. Also has Data center and Main Circuit Breaker. Comes with a battery and a Trickle Charger. Plus other features. Generator came Well boxed. Easy to install the wheels. Easy to read User Manual. Added the Oil that came with the unit( Funnel also included). Added gasoline and Push of the Start button, Started right up! I Like the Start /Stop button. Also comes Recoil start (Pull start) and Key Fob. So far so Good, system is working well in the Break in Period. This unit should handle the workload that I need from it.

We chose to purchase the Westinghouse WGen 9500DF mainly due to it having the remote push-button start and being a dual-fuel generator. After receiving the unit, we got it all set up and tested it out. It fired right up, just as we had anticipated. So far, we are pleased that it has passed this initial test. It is our hope that when we need it for an emergency it will continue to meet our expectations.

I purchased the WGEN9500df Generator as a backup for my home on June 01, 2021. I was expecting a lot from this powerhouse since the reviews were very positive on the features and the electrical output. I got what I expected. I fired this unit up and was soon running most of my house on generator power including my pool filter and equipment. The generator was plugged into a 30 amp transfer switch and if I feel inclined to do so, I can swap out that 30 amp for a 50 amp switch. The only advice I can offer is do not give up trying to start it the 1st time with gasoline. In fact, the initial start took so many tries with gasoline, I was ready to call Customer Support. It finally kicked over and I gave it a through test run. When done with my test, I ran the carburetor dry and let it sit for 6 weeks. It now fires up on the first push of the start button every time. This generator comes with all the features including remote start, the wheel kit, a mounted fold down handle and the duel fuel option. This is a well thought out machine for power and convenience. I live in Central Florida on the coast and I am ready for whatever nature throws this way. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this a month ago to use for emergency home back up power, and it's already been put to use. We lost power for about 14 hrs after hurricane Nicholas, just 3 days after this generator was delivered. The dual fuel function saved us... Nicholas was forecast to be a Tropical Storm at best, but intensified to a cat 1 hurricane overnight. I was not prepared with extra gasoline, but just happened to have a couple of full propane tanks on hand. The generator started up the first try and performed flawlessly, running a couple of refrigerators, freezers, TV, and a window ac unit. Although it's not super quiet, it is actually quieter than the 5500 watt Troy Built generator it is replacing. I really like the electric start, and the data center with the hour meter. This will help with knowing when to do maintenance. This generator seems well built and is HEAVY, but the wheels are big(and No Flat) and make it easy to roll around. Also, 3 year warranty. Overall.... Great value for the money, and I cant wait to get it wired up to power the whole house.
