Unit arrived well packaged, in 7 total days, with no damage. Installation was straight forward with no surprises. Started on first try, remote FOB works well with great range over 100ft. . Noise is surprisingly low for a generator of this size. I am HAPPY!!

Memorial weekend 2024, a series of tornados did considerable damage in my home town and county. My home sustained minor damage but the entire county power grid was crippled. My family experienced a power outage for 6 days and because we rely on a well for our water source, we were without that too. Fortunately, our nearest neighbor had purchased a Westinghouse WGen9500DF and had it connected to his home through a transfer switch. They were able to power their entire home cycling zones on a schedule to remain fully functional and comfortable during the entire outage event. Witnessing, first hand, how well this model generator performed for such a lengthy period of time impressed me greatly. For this reason, I purchased my own WGen9500DF with complete confidence that it will take care of my family as well as it has taken care of my neighbors. Seeing and experiencing is believing.

Assembly and prep was easy (took me a little over an hour including unboxing and clean up) except for the oil filling. I spilled some (provided funnel is quite small and overflowed), and that made a mess but also I think you have to use the whole provided bottle to fill it up. I’ll have to buy some more oil because the dipstick still isn’t wet. As others have commented, the dip stick is very difficult to read. I hooked up a propane tank, forgot to choke it (do you have to choke when using propane?), but it started easily. It is kind of loud, but I expected that. Usually when the power goes out around here, it’s less than a day so we can definitely put up with the noise to keep our lights on and food from spoiling or thawing. The unit itself seems well organized and well-made.

We purchased this generator a week ago and are so pleased! Power goes out in our area more often than we’d like and this gives us lots of peace of mind. It’s so easy, I, a housewife can hook it up and start if needed. I love the key fob for remote start and that it can power the necessities of our home when the power goes out. We love the duel fuel, the compact size for the power it provides, and the price point. We don’t regret this purchase!

Delivery was great. Basically perfect condition other than some minor scuffs (understandable given it traveled across the country and is so large and heavy). What was essential for me is that the manual states its designed to be hooked up to a whole home propane tank - my gas company was unwilling to provide a connection otherwise. Time will tell how it holds up, but with proper maintenance, Im hoping it should last a very long time

Bought in March of 2020. Has never felled to start. Used during last snowmageddon in Texas. Was a life saver. Crank it up about every 3 months, check fluids and treat fuel. Would buy bigger if I do it again. NOTE: Fuel selector needs to be straight up on Gas or it will not run. Live and Learn! Great Machine. Battery needs to be replaced after 3 years.

I was impressed that a full warranty was offered with the Westinghouse refurbished units. The cost savings went toward installing the necessary electrical components to connect to the house. I appreciated the prompt communication in reply to my question about shipping. Of course this review cannot yet include my experience running the generator. I have only just received it, this review was requested during warranty registration. I’d be happy to update my review once some hours are on it.

I recently purchased the Westinghouse Pressure Washer and it was very easy to use! After loosing power for six days I wanted to invest in a generator that I could set up and not be afraid to operate! Did my research and read previous reviews and purchased the Duel Fuel Portable Generator. I’m having an electrician install an additional breaker 50 amp breaker and plug installed . Can’t wait to test the system! But the generator is well built and easy to operate

I hesitate to leave a review after only owning something for a few days because the thing could break tomorrow. That said, so far this generator is impressive. I've fired it up a couple times and put some small loads on it and it didn't miss a beat. It runs smooth and my 21 gallon 120 volt 20 amp air compressor did not make this thing bog down when it kicked in and started running. I love the dual fuel option but haven't tried the propane yet. Easy to assemble and quick to get up and running. Sound is equivalent to others in this class and I thought was acceptable. Not too heavy and fairly easy to move around. The only issue, and it may not really be one, is the rated THC of less than 23%. I assume the 23% is the max running at capacity and if only pulling 5k watts this may be much lower. How much? I wish I knew. But there are ways to to accommodate this when plugging in sensitive electronics. All in all I definitely recommend this generator. Time will tell how long it will last, but so far so good.

Bought this to replace an old (23 years) Generac. Very easy to assemble, fired up right away. Ran it only for 5 minutes, then shut it down. 2 months later we had a week long power outage, ran it every day 12+ hours a day, no issues. Have had intermittent outages since, very reliable so far. We run it through a manual transfer switch to the house panel, runs the entire house but we don't use the electric oven or dryer.
