Great machine

After having COVID19 and then while I was still in the hospital (90 days)i contracted pneumonia. I am home now and on oxygen 24/7 I need a reliable source of electricity to run my concentrator when the power goes out. the Westinghouse 9500 duel fuel generator does the job perfectly. good price, easy remote start. ILOVE IT.

Awesome Generator with all the bells and whistles

This generator has features to keep the home owner and the generator safe. Will meet and exceed all my power needs , dual fuel gas or propane. Easy to move when needed with large wheels , covers over the outlets to keep them dry and working, just a well built generator.

Beast of a machine

Powerful generator, easy to assemble, easy set up! The box it came in was in shambles from delivery, and I thought this machine would be destroyed! Amazingly it had a tiny dent on the frame, everything else appears fine! It’s a loud machine, but I didn’t buy this for its quietness, I bought it for its huge power!

Good Features, Nicely Made

Did a lot of research before purchasing a generator and ended up going with the Westinghouse Wgen9500DF because of the features it offered. I like the option do run propane and the electric start. Generator arrived in good condition and no damage. Assembled the generator and it started right up on the first try. Seems to be a good generator hopefully it last many many years.

Very Impressed with Unit

I purchased the 9500DF unit for power backup in our home. Unit arrived in good condition, easy to assemble and move around after assembly. I plan to use propane mostly to avoid the extra maintenance of gasoline in the carburetor. I connected a 15 lb propane tank, the unit started immediately with the remote. I purchase a 13' 6-gauge extension cord and connected it to a 50 amp outside outlet. Generator ran fine with an electrical load, very pleased with unit so far.

Excellent Value

I have been searching for a portable generator for a few years now since we were without power a few years ago for a week in Mid December, due to a cold winter ice storm in Michigan. I borrowed a friends 5000W Honda generator and got us through it some what painlessly. He has offered to sell me it but a 25 year old Honda still fetches a hefty price. I wanted a brand name and larger than 5000W. They are all expensive and not getting any cheaper. I just happened on this one and after a thorough search, discovered that it was selling for a very fair price. It is exactly what I was looking for. Got here very quickly, with the box and equipment all in excellent shape. Every thing was there, and what little assembly I encountered was quick and simple. I have only gotten to fire it up and run a few pieces of tools and equipment in the garage for a test, and it has worked flawlessly. When I get my electrical renovation and upgrades done I am looking forward to plugging it in and letting it rip. It will easily handle every thing I deem critical in my home plus plenty of room for additional add ons.

Extremely well built generator with dual fuel.

I bought this to replace an older generator that I could no longer start with the recoil pull starter. The ability to start this with a push of a button, either on the generator, or with the included key fob is amazing. It started right up after unboxing, and runs equally well on either gas or propane. Looking forward to using this for many years.

Great dual-fuel generator option

I purchased this on preparation for hurricane season, and it's good to have one any time of the year when the power goes out. I wanted one that had the option of gas or propane, and high enough running wattage on both to run what we plan to. I'm setting it up so that it can be connected to our breaker panel and provide 50 amp service, then use the breakers to decide what gets power and when. I initially set up and tested the generator when I received it, no issues and ran well. I have had to use it once during a brief power outage we had recently, and since I don't have the breaker panel setup going yet, just used an extension cable. We ran our refrigerator, a light, and my wife's dryer for a bit, no issues. I haven't had a chance to put a heavy load on it yet, so we'll see how it goes when I do.

Excellent Power

Will be a great system to keep everything running in an emergency at home or to take on the road when I need to run big tools away from a power supply. Seems to be very well built. I am having an issue with the battery, but I'm confident that I can get good support from Westinghouse to figure that out.

Great features for the price

I bought this because power on Whidbey Island goes out a couple times a winter because of high winds. This generator has the features I was looking for in a portable house generator. I haven't actually used it yet, but I like most of the design except for the 50-amp receptical. Whoever placed the receptical over the wheel has never had a 50-amp cord in their hands. I plan to power my house with the 50-amp cord and will have to remove the wheel after the generator is in place. As can be seen with the picture, the power cord plug uses most of the space between the receptical and wheel. These cords are massive and not very flexible so I will have to remove the wheel to get the 50-amp cord plugged in. Every 50-amp cord I've seen has a 90 degree angle plug.
