Living in Florida with unpredictable weather and hurricane season, this is the way to go. We bought this generator and saved us through hurricane season and back to back 2024 storms. We had the home essentials things running and of course was able to make morning coffee and shared with our neighbors. Make sure to buy batteries chargers and keep it plugged when not in use.

I think I’ve already registered this, but my remote worked when I bought it, but I had a stored in my shop got it out. This ice storm to use couldn’t get the remote to work so replace the batteries tried reprogramming it to the generator was still no luck so now I’m asking for a replacement remote fobe

This is a great generator for the price. I had an electrician install a 50amp lockout so I can power my home during an outage. I will be testing everything soon, but expect no issues. It is heavy until you install the feet and wheels. I suggest reading through all set up and maintenance instructions thoroughly before using, even if you have used a generator before. This is my first generator and at this point I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Just received my generator. Seems to be well built, just what you would expect from Westinghouse. Bought for power outages we have now and again. Home backup. Haven't needed it yet but winters coming. So far I'm very happy with it. Didn't have a ton of money but wanted dependability. My electrician recommended it. He's been using his about 7 yrs with no problems. Very nice.

Here in central Michigan we got hit with a massive ice storm and was left without power for multiple days baught this generator and was not able to use it due to the fuel shut of valve leaking fuel but It somehow fixed itself. Now she will run for a couple hours and then she will stall out

Just recieved yesterday. Easy unpacking, minor assembly, added oil and had it up and running in less than 1 hour. Ran for two hours with a light load on it to start break in process. Started right up and ran flawlessly at 14 degrees F. I'm actually looking forward to our next power outage.

I've been unable to get this set up due to circumstances beyond my control. The snow is on the ground and I cut open the box. Everything is clearly marked, assembly was quick. I attached the battery, put in the enclosed oil, attached it to a propane tank, and push the start button. It started. All very simple. It gives the impression of being a beast.

THis generator is a quality unit. It was easy to assemble, and get running. It has enough power to run most items in my house. The user manual is excellent and easy to follow. I am extremely happy with this unit. It is a heavy generator when unboxing. Once the wheels are installed, becomes much easier to move around. Thanks for a great generator.

Bought this wgen9500df after we lost power. I have a 7 month old child and a stay at home wife at the house all the time and we cannot be without power for our essentials. This generator has been amazing. Ran our whole house for several days no problem at all. Also doubles as a welder generator for my shop that doesn’t have hookup for a welder. Has been an awesome generator and would recommend to anyone looking for a bigger generator!

After purchasing this Westinghouse WGen9500DF, I’ve been exploring the features—and there are a lot of them. Dual fuel capability, electric start, quick-connect battery cables, remote start and stop (huge win), fuel gauge, LED info display with hours, metal gas tank, included propane hose and regulator, basic tools, oil, and even a built-in trickle charger. The remote start/stop alone is worth mentioning—no more rock-paper-scissors to see who has to go shut it off in the cold. That’s a quality-of-life upgrade I didn’t know I needed. We’re using this generator for off-grid living, and so far it’s been awesome. It’s handled our setup well and performed exactly as expected, if not better. We’ve had a few small hiccups, but those were mostly user error while learning a new system—not the generator itself. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. Solid build, thoughtful features, and reliable performance so far. Would absolutely recommend it, especially for off-grid or backup power use.
