Power outages seem to be on the increase. We have 3 freezers and 2 refrigerators. One ice storm took out our power for 2 weeks. Power poles were snapped off. Another straight wind storm took out power for the area for 3 weeks. Received this generator in about 10 days. Was able to plumb propane line to generator from 3 500 gallon propane tanks. I then ran a power hookup line to the generator. I tested unit running everything except the central air conditioner. If I need to run air conditioner I would just shut off freezers. Wonderfully engineered and manual is mot helpful. Note: Remember to shut off Utility Company power switch before generating power to your house.

The unit was easy to put together. Just add fuel and oil. It started up and I’m 2 hours into the 50% load break in period. Looking forward to trying it out under a normal load. So far I couldn’t be happier. One of my coworkers bought the same 9500DF unit a year ago and has had only good things to say about his experience.

Bought this awhile back and have used it for two power failures in my neighborhood. Ran on regular unleaded gas for several hours without running out. I guess about 10+ hours or more before refilling. Easy to assemble and the built in wheels and foldable handle make it easier to move. This is a heavy generator so if you're a small person, you may need someone to help. I'm 6'2" and it wasn't a problem for me but you will need to take care when moving it as it takes a little strength. Remote star fob is handy but I used the start button.Looking forward to having an electrician install a transfer switch to my house so I can hook up to house using single 50 amp cord to run A/C, fridge and freezer and a few lights without having to run separate cords.

Just got this a little while ago and am really happy with it. Even though it is bigger than my last generator, it is so easy to move around with the wheels. Love the folding handle for storage. It's was very easy to put together and it started right up. We've been starting it up daily to make sure everything is working and it is. Very happy with this purchase.

My first generator and I like it! Once I get my transfer switch, the generator will be connected to my house and only then the full power will be revealed! So far, so good, as I've tried it with gasoline and propane and it works as it should, but the noise it makes is significant...I will be ordering a 75ft. extension cable to cope with that. Overall high quality built generator!

We live in an area that has power outages from storms during the winter and summer. We needed something that would run our freezers and refrigerators when we lose power. This thing definitely has enough power for the whole house as well as using it for our camper and the duel fuel made it even better instead of taking a bunch of gas cans camping.

I bought the DF model after several power turn offs. We live in a remote area, so when the power goes off, we are very dark. I unpacked, put on the wheels, put in the correct oil level, hooked a propane cylinder to the 9500DF, pushed the remote start button, and the generator started immediately. I researched all buying options, and the 9500DF is truly the best answer to power outages. Since I purchased the 9500DF, I have purchased a transfer switch and a 50 amp power cord. Excellent product so far; the true test will be when the power goes out, but I feel well prepared with 9500DF. (I prefer the power strip).

The last few years we have lost power at our rural home for a number of days. Our original generator wasn't powerful enough to handle our needs. Was pleased to find a trusted name like Westinghouse made a generator. Couldn't be more happy with the product, power, and ease of use.

I just finished up the 5 hour break in on Propane. Everything works as it should and I am pleased with my purchase. Good communication from the shipping company to set up the delivery date. I plan to use the 50 amp plug to power my house through a interlock switch during power outages.

Just purchased this beauty yesterday and will definitely come in handy as it is indented to power up an entire house for my special needs stepson. I installed a circuit panel plug to the electric panel on the house. Will return with a more complete review once used.
