I purchased this generator as a standby power source in the event of a power outage. Shipping was fast and product arrived in good condition. Followed initial startup procedures, and generator started as expected using propane as the fuel source. I really like the dual fuel feature. After break-in period I used the generator to power my house, worked great. I would definitely recommend this generator!

I just bought this product I love the extended warranty of 3 years the propane and gas with the push button start and also remote control to turn on and shut off I checked the products with other companies and this one was rated the best Thank you Westinghouse

just purchase this after several days with no power and an old generator that was too small. assembled in minutes, and fired it up with the wireless remote, and runs clean, not terribly noisy, and troublefree. looking forward to next power outage to be able to run my furnace and water and refrigerators.

Bought a month ago and no regrets, Pretty quiet compared to my old generator and much easier to handle. It is compatible with a GENERLINK Transfer switch (the one that sits just behind the electric meter outside your house. Dual fuel is great option. IF gas gets too expensive I have an option to propane. Starts up quickly with electric start. Should run whole house easily.. we do have a pretty efficient house. All i need now is a hookup to charge an electric car if power goes out. Power goes out a lot here as we are surrounded by provincial park on one side and nature /wildlife reserves on other side. LOTS of 70 to 80 foot trees and power lines go through these areas.

I bought the 9500DF a year ago as an emergency power supply. It arrived on time without a problem. It started right up and ran smoothly on propane with required power output. I ran it for about 30 minutes and then put it in storage for a year. When I got it out and tried it again it started right up again. I am pleased with this unit. I feel it will be ready when I need it.

Kids got this for me for fathers day. Not sure which store they purchased it from . Only had to use 3 times but it's never missed a beat. Easy electric start and very good fuel economy. Going to connect to propane and a transfer switch. I rate it 5 stars. Very good product.

Living on the gulf coast, we have frequent storms and lose power for extended times. I have a couple small Westinghouse inverter generators that have worked perfectly. Our biggest problem is that we have a water well and trying to keep the refrigerators and freezers running while using a small window unit to keep 1 room cool while we wait for our power to be turned back on. We just had Hurricane Beryl hit us and we lost power for 4 days. No showers, had to haul water to flush toilets, moving extension cords constantly to keep everything going. Very exhausting to say the least. After much research and great reviews, I purchase the WGen9500 Dual Fuel and installed a generator disconnect to my breaker box so I could power my whole house. I got the dual fuel so I can have a couple 100# propane bottles for backup as sometimes finding gas after a windstorm is impossible. I received the generator in perfect condition, read through the manual, added the supplied oil and filled the tank with fresh gas. I quick push of the remote and if fired up on the first try. I performed the initial break-in by plugging in a shop fan, small electric heater and a 1hp air compressor. I let them cycle for 8 hours and the generator never missed a beat. The following weekend, I connected it to my house. I flipped the breakers on all of the un-necessary items, just keeping my water well, my 4 ton ac and refrigerator and freezer running. The 9500 ran everything just like I needed to too. Hopefully we won't have another windstorm for a long time, but if we do, I'll be ready with the WGen9500. The remote start is going to be a lifesaver for sure!

I bought this after the "big freeze" this year in Texas. From the time I cut the box open, I had it assembled and running in an hour. It fired up on the first touch of remote start. I have only run on propane so far. My end cover on back of motor was dented during shipping, and I am awaiting a replacement. Generator runs fine. I should be prepared for next storm.

This is my second purchase of a Westinghouse and both have been a great experience. We have a smaller one that we have been using with all the recent tornadoes and power outages. It wasn’t big enough to run the air unit and also had to turn everything else off when running the hot water heater. With this new purchase we will be able to run everything at once. Both are Westinghouse and we haven’t had any issue with them.
