I bought this generator about a week ago and haven't had a chance to get my full use out of it yet however, the assembly to put the wheel kit on was done in a matter of minutes and fired right up upon testing to make sure everything worked as advertised. I was originally skeptical on buying a push start generator since it required a battery and is just an additional thing to have to maintain and worry about however I was pleased to find that it does indeed have a recoil start (pull cord) backup in case the battery is dead. This generator produces more than enough output for everyone I want to keep running during power outages. Overall great generator so far!

There is nothing extra to buy with this generator. Every thing is included with this generator, oil, oil funnel, battery, battery charger for long storage and remote key fob. Added oil and fuel turned the gas Petcock on then waited one minute and pushed the start button. Started the very first time. Was super easy to start the very first time. Ran it for 30 minutes then put a small 10 amp load for 30 minutes. Everything worked as it should. Westinghouse makes a great product.

It appears to be a solid unit. It has enough power to support my entire home. All appliances function and can be used as normal, including central AC, window AC, two fridges, sump pump, dehumidifier, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. although when the central AC comes on the inrush is a real kick in the groin for this unit but it does recover quickly and carries on. I did not buy this for the propane option (don't want to take the hit on wattage) and I have two 30 gallon fuel drums, so I cannot attest to it's functioning on propane as I have not tried that option. Like many of the reviews out there for this unit, I had problems with getting this unit started. I don't have any propane and I am disabled and incapable of using the pull-start, so the only choice I had was the auto-start sequence and gasoline. I ran and restarted the sequence 4 times and it would not start. After going over this unit top to bottom with a fine tooth comb (had spark, was getting fuel to carburetor from tank) and after about 15 start cycles I finally found the problem. The automatic choke apparently has a very weak actuator and the choke lever was barely brushing up against the backside of the PCV hose (which is inconveniently positioned horizontally directly in front of the choke lever) with enough force to stop the travel of the choke actuator before it reached the fully closed position and thus starving the engine during the start cycle. I rerouted the PCV hose to run in front of a vertical line to the vapor canister which keeps the choke lever from brushing up against the PCV hose. Now, without interference the automatic choke functions properly and the unit starts within 3 seconds of initiating the start sequence. The only other issue with this unit is the obvious design flaw of placing the 50 Amp receptacle directly over the wheel which severely impedes the use of the receptacle with pretty much any 50 Amp cable.

I bought this in late July. It came on a wood pallet. Delivery was smooth through a trucking company to my residential home. It was delivered by a truck with a lift gate on the back of the truck on 8.6.2020. It was wheeled up by pallet jack into the garage. I just recently put on the tires and assembled it, followed the instructions with a friend here, battery, oil, etc. to give its first test run on Propane gas, only. On 8.8.20, we fired up without a problem. I ran it for about 40 minutes. I turned it on and off a few times at the end of the run and tried all 3 different start types (button, key fob remote, and the choke), which all worked. So far, so good after 1 week of ownership. So Far So Good. The volume isn't that bad once you get inside the house. You want some distance between the generator when running and the structure or vehicle you would be inside nearby. Time will tell if there are any issues when it is used again.

Purchased after four days of being without power two months ago. I have a 4 bedroom 3300 SQF home. This model runs two refrigerators and the essentials. At night I can run the AC unit. I had to use it recently in Hurricane Beryl, where I was able to operate the essential items, and the AC units. No issues at all.

Just received this generator today 9/3/20, attached the wheels, hooked up the battery, added the included 10W30 oil & then gas and pushed the start button & it started right up & was producing electricity fine. Manual is very good including spare parts, like the battery, numbers for future reference. Looking forward to a reliable standby generator for our all too often power outages.

The product arrived in good shape, no damage to the box. The product looked well made and professional when opened. We followed the assembly instructions which were not perfect but we were able to figure out that the large washers went between the frame and the wheels by following the picture instead of the written instructions. Followed the prestart instructions and generator started on first attempt and is operating as expected. We are running it for the break in period now. We have not had to use for an outage yet but have high expectations that this generator will provide the service we need.

I have never owned a generator before but after being without power or water for 7 days as a result of a bad storm that had to change. Found the quality of this to be great built very solid and easy to use for a first time experience with a generator this has been a great one.

I bought this generator for my father to hook up to his house transfer switch. After a lot of searches and reviews on other generators, decided on this model for the output wattage and its dual fuel capability. I traveled to see my father this weekend and got a chance to unbox the generator and try it out. Easy to setup and runs great. Haven't had a lot of time to use so time will tell. So far, my father is very happy with this generator. There are only two issues I have with the generator: 1. The first problem is not with Westinghouse or the generator itself, the problem is with the shipping company that delivered the generator to my father. During shipping the freight company must have used a fork lift to move the generator or they dropped the generator on its end. When I unboxed the generator, I noticed that the frame on the left side wheel end was bent or dimpled in and the powder coating paint was cracked at the bend in several places. Also, the left wheel is tilted slightly inward due to the frame being bent. It is not bad to where it affects any movement or operation, it is just cosmetic and I wouldn't even consider sending it back for that. I took some flat black paint to touch up the paint chips. 2. The second issue I noticed is with the LP regulator orange protective cap and lanyard. When the generator was assembled, the technician who assembled it, cross-threaded the cap to where it was very tight to remove and the plastic cap threads are now worn out. Also the tech tightened the cap lanyard attaching screw to the frame too tight to where it ripped out a side of the plastic lanyard attaching screw hole.

The item we ordered was matched to the research done by myself. All support items arrived prior to scheduled date of delivery. The "Only" issue was the having to track down the local delivery company from the LTL carrier. 48 hours later and I had to pickup at their dock. No fork truck marks, open to check condition, and now resides "AT the House".
