I love this generator. I had an older one and decided to upgrade. After much research (there are so many options out there), I went with the WGEN9500DF Westinghouse. I only recently started to use it but find all the functions easy to use. The duel fuel option is nice as is the electric and remote start.

I bought this after Hurricane Beryl rolled through the Houston area and my old off-brand generator kept giving me trouble even though I had maintained it. Planning to run this one only on propane unless I absolutely have to use gasoline. The shipping pallet served as a useful stand when mounting the wheels and support legs. Fired right up when hooked to a propane tank. I feel much more confident this will be ready and able the next time I need a generator (which seems to be getting more often).

Recently received my new generator, 12500 Watt. It took about 15 minutes to put on a couple of accessories, add the oil, connect the fuel source, and it immediately fired up. Smooth, running, not too loud, and tons of power to run the air conditioner, water heater, and the well pump all at the same time. I would definitely buy one of these units again

Bought this generator after loosing power 3 times in 2 months and couldn't be happier with this product. The generator runs well on both propane and gas(ethanol free recommended) and the switch is nothing more than a flip of the switch. Doesn't bog down under standard load and not excessively loud. Would definitely recommend for someone who wants the versatility of the dual fuel.

I bought this generator to replace a 2 year old Durumax generator that has been sitting in the repair shop for a month waiting on Duromax to make up their mind as to weather or not they are going to cover the repair costs. Hopefully this Westinghouse generator provides years of reliable service.

We received our generator in good shape after shopping and comparing for weeks. It is as advertised and is easy to operate. I wanted something powerful, but that I could use without requiring a pull start. After going back and actually reading the instructions, we were able to get the push start going. Very easy to start and no fumes when running on propane. It is still loud, but will be fine in the garage. I will be able to run most of the house off of this.

The WGen9500 is a good well built generator with good features. The instructions were good. There were no missing parts and I was glad that engine oil was included to initially fill it. The only problem I had was with assembly, attaching the mounting feet. The bolt receptacles are nuts welded to the frame. Welding spatter was in the threads and the I couldn't start bolts. It took some work to clean out the threads so they would accept bolts.

Was looking for a propane generator and came across this gem. I have not tried it out yet, but it arrived within 24 hours after online purchase and was brand new in box, unopened and undamaged. Really easy to set up with the wheels to move around. Just finished doing my registration for the 3 year manufacturer warranty. All seems really good to go with this purchase.

I don't know how well this gen runs or even how loud it will be because I haven't yet tried to start it. I did unpack it and put the wheels on, though. And that led to a surprise: videos of the assembly of this model by YouTubers last year showed more hardware for the axle/wheel set-up than was included with mine. One of the manuals that came with my unit backed that up: per side, there should be two washers, two pins, etc. My unit came with just one washer and one pin and the configuration was different from the Tubers'; even the "axles" were different. I poked around and noticed that my unit was not made in China, as I had expected, but in Vietnam. It looks like there was a change in manufacturing operations earlier this year. (Vietnam is now good and China is now bad, apparently.) I finally found a note in the paperwork about this "new" axle and washer set-up. But nothing is said about having fewer pieces....or why that is the case. You just get fewer pieces and a drawing to match. Anyway, that entire wheel set-up looks shaky. There is horizontal play along the axle shafts and I'm hoping the plastic wheels don't fall off when I move it. I'm also suspicious about the swing-up handle. It's easy enough to swing into place, but there is a welded-on stop for the handle on only ONE side of the unit. I don't know this for certain but I wonder if there might not have been two on the versions made in China. When dragging this beast around the yard, I'm concerned that the left side of the handle will eventually decide to make a break for it. There is absolutely nothing to keep it from going beyond the (non-existent) stop point. Nothing. Nada. The entire weight of the gen is put on the right-side handle stop. At 200+ pounds, it wouldn't take many moves to exceed the handle's ability to tolerate lifting, pulling, and dragging the gen around the yard. Then what? The right side gets wonky and the left side comes apart? (If the wheels fall off at the same time, I'm doomed!)

After losing power to our home a number of times over the past year or two, we decided we needed a backup power source. We looked for a generator that would have enough power to run our whole house, that was dual fuel (so we can run it off our LP tank if we wanted to), was reliable, that I could manage installing myself, and that didn't cost a fortune. The Westinghouse WGen9500DF ticked all those boxes. I've been able to successfully power our whole house (including A/C!). I have yet to connect to our LP tank (that's a project for another day), but I'm glad I have that option. I will note that the unit is quite loud (thus the 4 stars vs. 5). But, I suppose this is to be expected for this size of generator. And, when the utility power goes out and I'm able to still power my entire house off of this generator, I don't think I'm going to mind the noise.
