After purchasing a smaller Generac brand generator, my girlfriend and I came across a great deal on what she calles "Big Blue" the Westinghouse. Its powerful enough to run our entire home including the A/C Unit and Dryer. She likes the convience of the key fob and ease of use, I like the quaulity, ease of use, price and being able to switch from gas to propane for what Im now calling "The Machine"!! I will definatly recommend to anyone.

I just purchased this generator and am amazed by the price and all you get for this unit. I bought this one because of the dual fuel option, plus electric start with remote control and how much power it has. Planning on installing a transfer switch but for now, will use whenever we have a power failure and looking to power most of my house.

We bought this model generator based on the recommendation of 2 different families. The ease of starting the generator at our age with just a push of a button or remote was the main draw as well as the dual fuel. We are ready for winter here in the mountains now!

I just now got it set up. A friend who just recently got a more expensive one was amazed at how much better this one is. It is so powerful, has dual fuel capacity, a remote starter, easily transportable and starts right up with remote. I am so pleased with my purchase.

The generator cranked, but there is no power to the AC receptacles. A call was placed to the support number on the front of the generator. The person who answered said they would speak to someone and return the call. The call has not been returned. The trouble shooting section of the booklet says the generator is faulty. I do not know what to do next.

I got this last week and it is big enough for me to run my lights and my Well pump, and an AC unit. When my electricity goes out, I have no Water to flush toilet or for drinking due to being on an electric Well. This will supply all the amps and volts and watts I will need to alternate running the Well and the AC. The Well only needs to run a few times in the day to pump up pressure in the tank. No more have to save water in gallon milk cartons just to flush the commode. Thank You Westinghouse! And running on propane is a bonus.

This generator replaced a Westinghouse 7000. The 7000 could handle everything except the blowers on my very old propane furnace. This one handles it all. I like the dual fuel option, and the bigger wheels make it easier to move. My neighbor and I easily wheeled it to the shed and generator area I set up out back when I got the old one. It's easier to start, though they're both electric start. It came with a battery maintainer that's easier to use than my old one. I'm keeping the old generator as a backup because, as my daughter said "You have more power outages than anyone I know". I have a well, so when the power goes out I have no running water, no AC, no heat, nothing. I have a transfer switch whole house hookup and can have the power on in 10 minutes or less and all is right with my world. No worries about the next outage, and the next one, and the next one . . . Bring it!

Four bolts and two cotter pins, add some.oil and fuel, hook up the battery and away you go. Doesn't get much easier than this. It's plugged in to our 50 amp interconnect kit as a standby for for power outages. It should run just about everything in our house.

Just received my Wgen9500. It's a beautiful machine. It was delivered in only a couple weeks and arrived in perfect condition. This will give me peace of mind in keeping my well pumping and water system pressurized during our frequent power outages. A great buy for the price!

I ordered the generator 1 week ago today. Today I received it. I put the wheels and front supports on, put oil in engine and connected the battery. I checked the whole machine over real good and never found anything wrong. I hook the propane tank to it and then got the key fob insinc with the generator and it started right up. I ran it for the 5 hour break in time the company recommends at less than half load. I did put a little extra load from time to time also. I let cool down for about 3 hours, started it back up hooked my air compressor to it, I ran a skill saw and a bench grinder all at the same time. I honestly believe this is going to be the generator I need to power my house when the power goes out. I would recommend this Westinghouse generator to anyone looking to buy a generator.
