Chose the Westinghouse 9500 Dual Fuel generator after looking at ~15 generators. It's small enough that I can leave it near the garage door with enough room to park my car. Powerful enough that I can run most of my house without worrying about overloading. It's pretty loud. It's for emergency backup, so not a problem.

I bought this generator for the snowpocalypse we were expecting in my area. With it's capacity I was able to install a transfer switch to run off the 50 amp outlet and backfeed my house. The remote start gives me peace of mind that when I'm out at work my family will be able to get it running and be able to function even if I'm not there.

This is the best product I have ever bought. It kept my home warm when I lost power for a few weeks in the winter. I am so glad my son bought it for me. I am 74 and this generator is awesome. I recommend this product to anyone that wants a product that works great.

Bought this unit Dec 2025, and had a outside plug-in installed professionally. We tested several times and it starts easy and it powered the whole house through the circuit breaker box. We are very happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone.

Generator started up on first attempt. Remote start is great, will be important to wife. Easy to maneuver on wheels. Efficient use of fuel. Great to be able to switch to propane tank, as we live in rural area. Powerful enough to run all fridges and freezers, and more. Accessories are a plus.

I bought a dual fuel generator to allow me to run from my propane. Got to put it to the test within the first month of buying. An ice storm took out our power for 2 days. The generator worked great. The push button start made start up very easy. So far it has run for approx 20 hours. So far so good.

Have had the generator for 1.5 yrs. Never used it only crank it every few months to make sure it works. When to crank it and it is leaking gas and the service light is on. So on the fence about what I think u til I see what yhis warranty going to do for me.

We bought this between the NC ice storm of last weekend and the snow storm of this weekend and are so grateful to have had it as we got 6+ inches of snow yesterday with high winds and dangerous cold that called it into use! It was a lifesaver for us, our greenhouse, and our chickens. We know we will us is more throughout the year as we do lose power here throughout the year due to downed trees during storms (ie Hurricane Helene). Thank you for a fabulous product!

Brand new generator straight from the box. Followed all directions to a tee for setup and start up. Just in time for the coming storm. Nothing. No start up, nothing. I go through all the steps of the manual several times. Still won't start. Call a certified mechanic neighbor to come over. He's going through all the same steps as I did. Nothing just a wah wah,wah, wah, with no start. Pull start and electric start. Nothing on the eve of the storm of the decade. Great product Westinghouse. Its not working brand new out the box. I call the westinghouse support center number. All I get is they are backed up and will get back to me in 3 to 5 days. With an EMAIL! Really, this is your customer service? CONSIDER YOUR CHOICES VERY CAREFULLY ON THIS PRODUCT. I spent 5 hours trying to get this thing to start and missed a day of work in order to find a solution. Its sitting in my garage now. Cold , not starting and waiting for westinghouse to send me an email in 3 to 5 days. I guess me and my family can wait the five days in the cold without power........

I brought this 2 weeks ago just set it up. We ran it for the break in cycle and it runs so easy and quiet. We have a lot of power outages going into the winter here on the east coast. I love the idea of the starting fob so I don't even have to go out in the bad weather to start my new generator. The few years ago we had a major power outage with no power for a week. The only thing that saved our food from going bad and the house from freezing was the old generator we had at that time. The trouble was it ran gasoline only and with the power out all over no gas station could pump gas. So with this generator being duel fuel I think will be fine if we ever have that type of power loss again.
