I have used this generator for five years. It handles loads as per its guidelines. It starts easily and dependably. I have used this to run large floor sanders and to backup a residential solar system. The only reason I give this four versus five stars is because the fuel solenoid is electric, requiring 12 volts. Accordingly, the pull start will not bail you out should your battery give out. If you don't have 12 volts going into the solenoid, then the generator will not run on gasoline (it still will run on propane). The unit should be designed to run without the battery and using the pull start.

I have had this unit for 5 or 6 years now. Twice now the city power has been went out for more than two days. This unit has been a blessing, I runs for just over 12 hours on a full tank of gas. It is the perfect whole house power supply unit. I never need to shut off any breakers, only need to disconnect city power for others safety. I also purchased a 50 foot 50amp cable (the cable has a diameter of 1 1/8").

After experiencing a power outage lasting 48+ hours, I purchased this generator just a few days ago when I saw it was on sale. I trust the Westinghouse name implicitly. The unit has three separate ways of starting; by remote, by a pushbutton and the good old pull start rope. I tried them all and it works great! I have not hooked it up to an LP tank yet, but living in the country, this is a vital necessity to have a backup. With all of the severe storms we have had this spring, I feel this is good insurance to keep my well pumping, my freezer cold and my wife happier...

Purchased to power a food truck with coolers, water pump, lights, and other electrical. Works like a dream, easy to manage, plenty of power! I plan to add a transfer switch to my home and use it for outages. Couldn't be happier for the price point!

This generator will do it all. Bought this to replace a generac portable generator and this did not disappoint. You get a better looking machine and more options for less than competitors. All the features are nice. After I put the wheels and feet kit on and followed the procedures of starting it up I chose to use the key fob right out of the box. The unit fired right up with no hiccups and honestly I was surprised. I figured I would have to charge the fob or something before it would work but nope, fired right off on the first start attempt.

I have not used this unit yet, but my brother ran it and changed the oil and put an iridium spark plug in it for me. He said it ran find and was quieter than his smaller Westinghouse generator. I'm going to use it for demolition and construction power until my new electrical service is installed. After that, it will be backup power for my business and home too.

Bought this for back up for emergencies had to use it twice works great heck of it all hooked up ready to go use the remote from the house 25 yards away start and end it been a great unit

I love your generators. GO Westinghouse BLUE! This is our second Westinghouse portable generator. Workmanship is fantastic. Performance has never failed me yet.

I bought this just before the ice storm hit. It was easy to start and duel fuel is great will run it on propane so I don't have to worry about the winterizing.

had many friends buy this particular brand over the Generac and I know people that have Generac and Western houses both everybody that had the Westinghouse generator were far more satisfied with the cost and performance of this machine
