We bought this in anticipation of power outages and find that it is a great generator. We hope we will not have to use it much but if we do it will come through for us.

Worked well right out of the box. Used as a rural house backup generator: 3500 sq.ft., 1 hp well pump, 1/2 hp septic pump and 5 ton heat pump. Handled the electrical loads with some minor dipping of voltage. Used only propane only so far. Opportunities for improvement: 1. Instructions on how to use the battery charger. There is a light on the plug-in charger that is red when charging and turns green when charged. 2. Reroute the battery wiring away from the oil dip stick 3. Relocate the battery so the wheel does not have to be removed for battery replacement 4. Improve muffler/housing to reduce noise

I bought this due to a severe ice storm that we are expecting. It arrived promptly. Started on the first try with remote start. I ran it for a few minutes, and it seemed to be operating fine. Instructions were very clear and it was easy to set up. Would recommend.

Bought this generator for the fact that I was tired of not Habib electric power whenever severe storms rolled by, all i took was one look at this amazingly built machine and i had to get bit! This thing is exactly how I described on the title, THE MERCEDES OF GENERATORS! Look nowhere else, if you want the peace of mind in knowing you will have power to the entire house while running all essential appliances when storms knock out the power grid then take heed and take action!! Thank you westinghouse for this amazing build, this machine is absolutely beautiful and performs just as I thought. Highly recommend!

Chose the Westinghouse 9500 Dual Fuel generator after looking at ~15 generators. It's small enough that I can leave it near the garage door with enough room to park my car. Powerful enough that I can run most of my house without worrying about overloading. It's pretty loud. It's for emergency backup, so not a problem.

I bought this last year as there was a power outage and vowed not to be without power again , when I had a new panel box put in with a transfer switch the electrican highly recommended Westinghouse , as snow storm approaches I pulled it out , found this card fir bonus gift and gtn ready to fire it up , my daughter also got a Westinghouse Recommended by same electrican as he also has one

Bought WGen9500DF in early April of '25, it was great initially on both propane and gas. Fast forward to this past weekend when we lost power during the winter storm and it would NOT start in gasoline mode, never even tried to fire, it would crank but not start !! The gas was treated so "bad gas" should not be the issue. Luckily it would run on LP but I had very little of it on hand.

Just bought the generator. Setup was super simple, 4 13 mm bolts & 2 cotter pins was all it took (wrench included). Was 15°, per manual had to hold choke open to get it started. Once it started and the idle smoothed out I released it. I started it using all 3 ways (push button, remote key fob, and pull start) with both fuels. My old portable generator failed so I upgraded to an electric start one and it is great not having to pull start one any more. You have to bend down to read whatever the Info panel is displaying,

Brand new generator straight from the box. Followed all directions to a tee for setup and start up. Just in time for the coming storm. Nothing. No start up, nothing. I go through all the steps of the manual several times. Still won't start. Call a certified mechanic neighbor to come over. He's going through all the same steps as I did. Nothing just a wah wah,wah, wah, with no start. Pull start and electric start. Nothing on the eve of the storm of the decade. Great product Westinghouse. Its not working brand new out the box. I call the westinghouse support center number. All I get is they are backed up and will get back to me in 3 to 5 days. With an EMAIL! Really, this is your customer service? CONSIDER YOUR CHOICES VERY CAREFULLY ON THIS PRODUCT. I spent 5 hours trying to get this thing to start and missed a day of work in order to find a solution. Its sitting in my garage now. Cold , not starting and waiting for westinghouse to send me an email in 3 to 5 days. I guess me and my family can wait the five days in the cold without power........

I purchased this Generator back on Jan. 12 - 2025 , placed it in my utility building , never opened it until today , ( 01/24/2026 . I was unaware of the Free cover offer until today and I hope that I can still get the free cover. Also, I am aware that any / all warranty items began the day I purchased it . I have not yet assembled and can not evaluate it yet .
