Purchased this after a recent tornado took the power grid down in my area. Needless to say, I'm glad I did. All of the essentials run off of it and if I had the proper hookup in my box, I would say this thing could have even ran my whole house. This unit is super easy to get running, it even has remote start!! Yes, just like your car. If you run out of gasoline, no problem, grab the tank off of your grill and start it back up! Power for days. Told my neighbor about it and they went the same day and bought one.

Read many reviews and decided to buy the Westinghouse with 9500 running watts. It is dual fuel and comes with remote start which is good for what I need. Setup was straight forward and easy to operate when I tried it the first time. Guess I will find out how it work when next power out situation.

I just got this.. Right out of the box she fired up! It took maybe 10 minutes to put everything together. She runs smooth and not too loud. I think it's pretty for a tool. It cranked right up. I have not had to run anything with it but I"m she will to the job and then some.

Generator arrived in good condition, was easy to install the wheels, and place the battery on charge. The supplied oil and funnel completed the prestart checklist, starting is easy with the remote. I ran the generator unloaded to break in the engine the after installing a proper disconnect and receptacle generator was loaded. This is not the excessively loud, however it does make noise, as I live out of town it was not a real concern to me. For the price this is a good unit with enough power for most items, the ability to run on propane was important to me as you can store it almost forever. The unit can run on gas however gas has a limited shelf life.

The unit has worked very well on propane. I didn't do five stars as I haven't tried running it on gas yet but hope to do so shortly. The auto start makes start up very easy. I did have an issue with leaving the switch on and draining the battery (had to replace). Otherwise good.

I just unboxed it,and the generator fired up right away.I am impressed with the number of options to utilize the power of this generator.I am going to be using the 30 amp receptacle to a 4 outlet generator distribution extension cord.This should be satisfactory for a power outage until I am able to have it hard wired to my breaker box.

Bought this as security after a massive noreaster left us with out power for four days. It was a long time to not have heat, light and fridge. Never want to be in that spot again. We will be putting it on a slab, enclose it, hooking it up the the home electric system and central LP supply to make it a more permanent. Right now it provides standby just in case. Love the remote start, but still have to open the fuel valve or connect tank to turn on, so not that remote.

Living in Florida is a challenge. After Hurricane Ian left us powerless for 11 days, with no electric to work the water pump and every electrical device in the house. This allows you to plug the generator directly into the breaker box, block any incoming electricity from the power company so that you can select everything to be run on this big generator. Including your central air, which is a must in our hot humid climate. It's bad enough cleaning up after a hurricane, worse yet if you have no way to wash, clean, eat, protect, - all facets of home ownership here. Now that the new 2024 hurricane season is upon us, I've set up the brand new generator and following instructions to have it broken in and ready to go for the next emergency. We used non-ethanol gas which keeps your engines running clean. Follow the few directions to start the first time. It started right up! All by the push of one button. It's wonderful to not have to have a PhD to run a piece of equipment. Thank you Westinghouse, for an amazing all house generator of this quality. Yes I know this may be a little late, but...I purchased this generator in 11/2023. Did not even start it up once I brought it home. Then a year later and Helene hit the area I live in. Unboxed it, filled up the oil, charged the battery, put gas in, and she fired right up. She ran for nine days straight and I also had to switch it over to propane for a period also. It was a lifesaver indeed. I have all the confidence in Westinghouse craftsmanship and quality.

We haven’t had to use the generator in an emergency situation yet.. But I’m confident it will power the house when the need arises. Only ran it on propane so far. I look forward to many many years with this generator as a reliable whole home emergency power back up
