I decided to go with this unit after reading all the positive reviews from already satisfied owners. I wanted a generator large enough to power my house in case of a. Power outage. After building our house 20 plus years ago we’ve had a couple of water damage occurrences in our basement from sump pumps not running. We can’t afford to be without power for more than a couple of hours without having water backups in our basement. This is a great peace of mind knowing that a start of this generator and flip of the switch and I. Have enough power to run my sump pumps, freezers, well pump, etc.

I live in Texas. We had massive power outages last February and they are predicted to happen again during the hot streaks we get here. This Beast will power our entire house without breaking a sweat! Love the dual fuel capability, already bought 2 100# propane tanks....just in case! Very easy to maneuver with the included wheels and grab bar. Has a very small footprint as well. Remote start....Hell yeah! Don't think about it Sportsfans.....BUY IT!

Purchased generator online 11/16/24, arrived on 11/22/2024. The unit seems to be very well built and started up immediately. I love the layout of the unit and all the safety features. We have not experienced a power outage yet. But when we do, it's nice to know this Westinghouse generator is here to depend upon.

Two days after I received the 9500DF I finally got the generator started after figuring out you needed to plug in the battery charger to get the engine started. Took 20 - yes 20 starts before the engine finally turned over. It works - haven't used it yet in a blackout condition. We will see . . .

After much pre-purchase investigation online, comparisons to various competitor's similar product suggests that your WGen9500DF is likely the best choice and better value. Primarily considered engine displacement, sleeved cylinder, wattage, weight, portability, fuel consumption, noise level, outlet receptacles, dual fuel, battery charger, remote start & price. Much faith placed in Brand Name of widely known American company, with promised Lifetime Technical Support. No setup or startup problems. Still running in initial break-in period, and haven't yet applied heavy loads.

Box was heavily damaged when Pilot Trucking delivered. Unpacked unit and did not see any damage to unit. Put together, hooked up propane and put a little gas in the tank. Used both start button and key fob, both worked well. Flip breaker on unit and plugged in cordless drill. (It worked). changed from LP to Gas while running and unit switched over perfect. Unit is not loud or at least not as loud as my Generac. So Far So Good, I love it. Where I live we have lots of hurricanes so next hurricane will tell the true story on how well this unit can keep up!

I am replacing a 20 year old generator with similar capacity. The remote start feature is what convinced me to get this unit. Also, compared to my old generator, the battery is located much better for service, and the control panel has more information. Dual fuel capability is nice. It is refreshing to get a well-written owners manual with good English. It is louder than my old generator for no good reason that I can see except lazy design -- that is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

I bought this before the hurricane season started and boy am I glad I did! I was a little reluctant to purchase this size because of the weight and bulkiness. Westinghouse scored on this production as they thought of most every detail before producing.

This is a powerful generator in a relatively small package. I love the dual fuel capability and switching between the two fuels is very easy. the generator is supposed to be quieter than most other brands but still seems loud but it is what it is. this generator would benefit from an idle control which would likely extend it's running time. Overall I am very happy with purchase. Plenty of power with great features.

Initially when I received my new generator it would not start using gas. After cleaning out the carb the generator now works on gas. A brand new generator shouldn't need any servicing. Westinghouse also sent me a new carb so at least I have a backup. I have only got to test the generator out for about 30 minutes. So far so good.
