We’ve bought these a couple of years ago and they were well shrink wrapped and package and tasty fine. We recently bought them again and they were quite the opposite, almost liked they switched vendors. Each piece was not sealed well at all, the wrap was very loose, they tasted very old and not fresh at all after thawing out. Also very watery when thawed probably because it wasn’t properly sealed to begin with. Very disappointing to spend this kind of money for an inferior product. Probably won’t buy them again

This is the worst sashimi grade salmon I have ever tasted. I am a regular shushi/sashimi eater. If you want to eat it as sashimi or shushi, then do not buy this at all.

This is not good sushi grade salmon...the fat content is non existent. At least the packs I received. The advertisement pics show a nice colour and fatty lines, but reality is not that at all. I am going to try and request my money back. If I got this as sashimi at a restaurant, it would be sent back.

This salmon is delicious and worth every penny. However the first time I got it -it was perfectly frozen at my doorstep. The second time it was thawed , warm, and stunk! I called and accepted a reshipment. The box arrived %26 I had such high hopes.. I was left down again. I was able to reluctantly salvage a couple pieces(2-4). For that reason I can not order it again! A shame that a quality product can be treated as such! I gave 2 tries…

I have some doubts about this batch of “Norwegian salmon.” Once sliced, the flesh was noticeably dry and firm in texture, with little visible fat marbling, and it lacked the buttery mouthfeel typically associated with Norwegian salmon. Instead, it resembled the texture and appearance of Chilean salmon I’ve purchased before. I’m not sure whether this is a mislabeling issue or simply a leaner batch. Other buyers may want to look closely as well. Overall, the quality fell short of what I’d expect from genuine Norwegian salmon.

So great quality at first, so I asked my son to buy one more box for me, and one for him. Then all dry ice had gone and the salmons were defrosted. I should have returned the box at that time, I thought it would be bothersome and I put the salmons into my freezer, which was a big mistake. I had a severe stomachache issue. My son also had a box, and he said those salmons were melting, too. No dry ice at all. He ate only 1 piece and felt it very fishy. For the first ordered box, dry ice was big and salmons were very hard. So I let my son order 2 more boxes.

I like this salmon and have ordered a few times. However, except for the first time, all subsequent orders arrive completely defrost, soft cannot eat as "sushi". The ice bag is always cut open but absolutely no ice inside. I called Sams but they cannot reach the third party, they said. I give up.

This is a great product and a really good value for the money. I do have one complaint and it never fails… For some reason the company that ships this is too cheap to put an adequate amount of dry ice. I always receive mine with absolutely no dry ice left and the fish is partially defrosted. It's not to a point where I'm too worried about bacteria, but it is unfortunate that it has to be refrozen. We still enjoy it, but I would imagine it does affect the texture. Hoping the company will read this.

My family has been enjoying this high quality salmon for many years. But when we got the salmon today, all of the dry ice had evaporated and the salmon was totally thawed, even the package box was wet. Fortunately today was freezing cold weather so salmon might be kept cold. I don’t know why this happened exactly, just assuming the delivery was forgotten the date when it should be done. It seems like one day after that. It’s so disappointing these days package and delivery, it should be fixed by this company.

I was so sad when my store stopped carrying the sashimi grade salmon but then realized I could get it online! This is great! I love how good the shipping is with dry ice -and the taste is perfect! I buy these for parties to make sushi and poke and all my guest love it!
