This is my 3rd time ordering this salmon online and I am so disappointed with the service I received. I placed the order on a Thursday to be delivered on Saturday ( there is a 2 day time when you place the order). When did I receive my Salmon?, Monday morning! Arrived with no dry ice which was completed melted and ALL of the salmon thawed out. Nothing was frozen, had to discard the entire box of salmon.I was depending on this order for an event I had planned on Sunday for Mother’s day. Not sure if I will order again.

This poor review is due to the salmon is not frozen on the last two deliveries. No dry ice remains and salmon has been soft and or warm. I have never received this salmon in two days. Never. I called customer service and they refunded the money and gave a $15 credit to spend at Sam’s which is commendable but I have zero confidence in ordering this product again. It is a shame too, because we really like it. We have ordered this product about 14 times and only the last two have had issues.

I used to LOVE this salmon - it was indeed sashimi grade. THIS year, however, Sam's has obviously changed the supplier for this salmon. The filets don't even LOOK the same. They are white-ish pink - not the rich pink the former supplier's product had. It doesn't taste as fresh as the Norwegian salmon. In fact, tonight's serving tasted fishy - which is something FRESH salmon never does. Please go back to the former vendor, because this salmon isn't a 10th the quality of the former. The boxes were different, so the description and picture should change to reflect the new vendor. I will be looking elsewhere for salmon, because nearly $68 for average salmon isn't worth it. Count me an annoyed, disappointed customer.

Arrived with a big piece of dry ice still in the box. The salmon was frozen solid. It took me close to 8 hrs to defrost. It tastes so fresh and good. Excellent sashimi salmon.

Well packed, shipped with the small ice bags to keep the temperature low, remained frozen upon arrival. Like the small package too. The remaining salmons are kept unopened. Will buy again.

This salmon is delicious and worth every penny. However the first time I got it -it was perfectly frozen at my doorstep. The second time it was thawed , warm, and stunk! I called and accepted a reshipment. The box arrived %26 I had such high hopes.. I was left down again. I was able to reluctantly salvage a couple pieces(2-4). For that reason I can not order it again! A shame that a quality product can be treated as such! I gave 2 tries…

It was well packed and well frozen during delivery. The salmon tastes good and must be sashimi grade because I defrosted for 24 hours, ate raw, and didn’t get sick. But, look at the price? Maybe if it is was fresh it would be worth the price but not as a frozen product. Also, the defrosted salmon does NOT look like the product in the picture. The pink is clearly a farm raised pink and the white is not as pronounced but this is a natural product so I guess one expects variation.

I was nervous about this salmon actually arriving comfortably edible following shipping, but it arrived solidly frozen. Even when opening the box, the air was cold like opening your freezer. There was still dry ice in the cooler! We used to get the Norwegian salmon in store, but haven’t seen it in several months. This arrived in perfect condition. I hope Sam’s keeps this product available. I will definitely be ordering again!

My second order of this Norwegian fish is as good as my first was. No fishy taste at all. My husband is not a salmon lover, but he admits this is very good. Just make yourself a little bowl of homemade tartar sauce with mayo, sweet pickle relish, grated onion juice and a tad of lemon juice to go with it and you have perfection!

Beautiful. Just don’t order when it’s warm because the dry ice will melt in transit. I wish there was an option to pick up in-store during summer months. The included recipe is great. I make it on the side, defrost the fish in a lightly oiled dish so that I can add it and get it in the oven quickly.
