Oh my gosh! This is the absolute best shashimi grade salmon I’ve ever had outside of an expensive Japanese restaurant! We got it and it was very nicely frozen with dry ice. We followed the directions on thawing it and once thoroughly thawed, we sliced it up and ate it raw with soy sauce and wasabi..(not included! Lol) We purchased 2 more boxes to have in our freezer. It’s a we MUST get again for us!!

We ordered two boxes it it was SO GOOD. We’ve been eating poké and sushi bowls every week and the fish is so delicious! I will definitely be ordering more! For what it’s worth, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and know good fish, good sushi, and good poké. I would definitely recommend!

I was very happy and pleasantly surprised about the absolute quality of this product! Sashimi grade fish for under $4 per filet! (i have plus membership). Forget the sushi restaurant, i'm going to be stuffing myself with these! It's a lot of fish and they come frozen and was packaged well so many went straight to the freezer (so i can enjoy more later) and i defrosted 3 for immediate consumption. sashimi for me, pan-fry for the husband, and salmon+veggie patty for the little one. yum!

Very fresh and tastes very good. I did not buy the fresh version in club which is cheaper, because I was not sure whether it was ever frozen. For salmon used for sashimi, it has to be deep frozen to -40C or below first. The regular household refrigerator can never reach a temperature that low. This product arrived at my front door still frozen, and there was still dry ice left in the package. I feel more comfortable eating it raw, and feel the quality is better than the one I bought in local Japanese and Korean supermarket, and in sushi restaurants. Highly recommend it.

When we got the salmon, all of the dry ice had evaporated and the salmon was starting to thaw. I also noticed several where the vacuum seal was broken. We thawed two, one that was still vacuum sealed and another that was not. The one that was not did taste a little off, but was edible. The sealed one tasted good. If all the packages were still vacuum sealed, I would give this 5 stars. But they were not, so I give this 3.

The packaging is the problem here. The company recently switched from the styrofoam package with dry ice to a new paper packaging which resulted in the fish arriving partially thawed. The fish is excellent and I would like to keep it in our regular rotation, but unless the packaging improves I won't risk another order. Five star salmon in a one star package.

I used to LOVE this salmon - it was indeed sashimi grade. THIS year, however, Sam's has obviously changed the supplier for this salmon. The filets don't even LOOK the same. They are white-ish pink - not the rich pink the former supplier's product had. It doesn't taste as fresh as the Norwegian salmon. In fact, tonight's serving tasted fishy - which is something FRESH salmon never does. Please go back to the former vendor, because this salmon isn't a 10th the quality of the former. The boxes were different, so the description and picture should change to reflect the new vendor. I will be looking elsewhere for salmon, because nearly $68 for average salmon isn't worth it. Count me an annoyed, disappointed customer.

Far from Sashimi Grade! If you serve this Salmon in a Japanese Restaurant as Sushi, that Restaurant will go out of business in no time. This Grade Salmon MUST be cooked thoroughly in order to consume. If you are thinking of eating it raw as Sashimi or Sushi, don’t buy. It is also cut for frying not cut for Sashimi. Odor & after taste is there too, not suitable for Sashimi/Sushi. I could have bought this grade of Salmon at 1/2 to 1/3 the price elsewhere.

This is the worst sashimi grade salmon I have ever tasted. I am a regular shushi/sashimi eater. If you want to eat it as sashimi or shushi, then do not buy this at all.

This poor review is due to the salmon is not frozen on the last two deliveries. No dry ice remains and salmon has been soft and or warm. I have never received this salmon in two days. Never. I called customer service and they refunded the money and gave a $15 credit to spend at Sam’s which is commendable but I have zero confidence in ordering this product again. It is a shame too, because we really like it. We have ordered this product about 14 times and only the last two have had issues.
