I used to LOVE this salmon - it was indeed sashimi grade. THIS year, however, Sam's has obviously changed the supplier for this salmon. The filets don't even LOOK the same. They are white-ish pink - not the rich pink the former supplier's product had. It doesn't taste as fresh as the Norwegian salmon. In fact, tonight's serving tasted fishy - which is something FRESH salmon never does. Please go back to the former vendor, because this salmon isn't a 10th the quality of the former. The boxes were different, so the description and picture should change to reflect the new vendor. I will be looking elsewhere for salmon, because nearly $68 for average salmon isn't worth it. Count me an annoyed, disappointed customer.

Partially thawed when delivered, and we met the delivery person at the door so it came right off the truck. The box was insulated but either the coolant was added or evaporated (the coolant pouch was open but wet). Looks ok to eat but wouldn't order again as we are concerned about safety.

Our first order arrived with no dry ice. The salmon was at room temperature. For the replacement order, we requested the frozen salmon to be shipped with dry ice. Upon arrival, the replacement order arrived with no dry ice. There was salmon "juice" leaking out of one corner of the box. The replacement order arrived completely defrosted and smelled terrible. We double bagged the spoiled salmon, threw it in our freezer, and returned it at the closest Sam's Club. DISAPPOINTED!

Was excited to try this salmon. I love salmon sashimi and have eaten it all my life. The salmon came frozen and I defrosted 1 piece to try. The fish smelled strong and the flesh was a weird texture. It did not taste like sashimi. I will be using the rest but will cook it up first. Will be going back to my trusted Toyko Central grocery store to buy my salmon sashimi or my favorite Japanese Restaurant.

Box came with no dry ice and all the Salmon was thawed. Using Fedex it took 5 days to arrive. Sam’s customers service contacted the vendor and they would not issue a replacement. Got refund. We did not feel it was safe to consume. Very disappointed. Will not order again now until the middle of winter.

This is my 3rd time ordering this salmon online and I am so disappointed with the service I received. I placed the order on a Thursday to be delivered on Saturday ( there is a 2 day time when you place the order). When did I receive my Salmon?, Monday morning! Arrived with no dry ice which was completed melted and ALL of the salmon thawed out. Nothing was frozen, had to discard the entire box of salmon.I was depending on this order for an event I had planned on Sunday for Mother’s day. Not sure if I will order again.

This poor review is due to the salmon is not frozen on the last two deliveries. No dry ice remains and salmon has been soft and or warm. I have never received this salmon in two days. Never. I called customer service and they refunded the money and gave a $15 credit to spend at Sam’s which is commendable but I have zero confidence in ordering this product again. It is a shame too, because we really like it. We have ordered this product about 14 times and only the last two have had issues.

I wish I had read the negative/most recent reviews first. My complaints echo theirs. What on earth were they thinking when packing this highly perishable frozen item that many people intend to eat RAW??? The salmon arrived in deplorable condition in a barely insulated cardboard box. The small package of dry ice inside had evaporated completely. The thawing, leaking salmon filets had a milky, slimy appearance. As the nearest club is over 2 hours away from me, I was not about to return them. They went promptly into the outside trash. Complete disappointment and waste of money. Very unhappy.

Auful, auful auful. This arrived at my door warm and leaking. I had to return it to the club asap. Stunk up my whole car and made me nauseaus. Then I had to wait in the return line. NEVER AGAIN

Far from Sashimi Grade! If you serve this Salmon in a Japanese Restaurant as Sushi, that Restaurant will go out of business in no time. This Grade Salmon MUST be cooked thoroughly in order to consume. If you are thinking of eating it raw as Sashimi or Sushi, don’t buy. It is also cut for frying not cut for Sashimi. Odor & after taste is there too, not suitable for Sashimi/Sushi. I could have bought this grade of Salmon at 1/2 to 1/3 the price elsewhere.
