half of the avocados feel ok, but when you open them up in less than 5 days 2-3 are always bad. this is like the 3rd or 4th time it has happened. i request refunds every time

If you wait more than a day you will miss that heavenly guacamole window and move on to that avocado toast period. These are almost always ready to eat immediately even though they might seem too firm from the outside. Excellent quality. Try not to bruise them with rough handling on the way home -- they do bruise easily.

Bought 2 bags of avocados week of Christmas. One bag ripened after Christmas. The second bag never ripened as of today 1/4/21... Found this out after my husband had already pitched them!! This is not the usual for these avocados. We know how to ripen, always do them all the same way. We used to have 2 acres of avocado trees 15 years ago before moving to Arkansas. This won't stop us from buying Sam's avocados though!!

I have been buying these regularly.gor over 3 months. Initially, they were great. From about a month or so ago, some started to take a long time to ripen and by that time, they had gone bad. Some were so fibrous that they were not edible. In any bag, maybe 2 or 3 are like this. And they have become more expensive, so I have been throwing away such expensive fruit of $1.4 -$1.6 each because they are just so bad.

We bought these when in FL and they were awesome in size and flavor. I allowed them to counter ripen and kept in refrigerator for about 5 days without them starting to get too ripe. I had a guest who loves avocados, and she kept raving about how good and perfect they were even after being in the refrigerator that long. She wanted them every day.

I have bought avocados here before that were fine. However, this most recent bag didn't ripen properly. After sitting on the countertop for a week and a half (10-11 days), they were still mostly hard. I expect ripening by the end of a week at most. I cut open the last one today, it was still quite hard after more than 2 weeks (had to cut it off the pit with a knife).

These are excellent! Allow to ripen unrefrigerated for 3 days or until avocado feels soft to touch. Be sure and refrigerate immediately upon the 'soft touch' feel from the fruit. We use them in salads, spreadbutter and avocado on bread. Sprinkle avocado with salt.

My family loves avocados! We usually purchase 2 bags at a time. We let one sit on our kitchen counter for a couple days and then they are ready to go in sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. I place the other bag in the refrigerator to slow down the ripening and take it out and repeat the same process.

Avocadoes are a favorite at our house. We use to accompany eggs at breakfast or with tacos either as slices or as guacamole, in a salad, or my granddaughter eats them with a spoon right out of the half shell. Helpful hint: Buy unripe avocadoes that are hard, and then put the package of avocadoes in a wooden bowl on the countertop and cover with a bunch of fresh unripe bananas overnight up to about 24 hours or so until the avocadoes soften just a bit. The bananas share their ripening gases with the avocadoes perfectly. Check with your finger. When the avocado depresses just a little, put them into the refrigerator to stay fresh and perfectly ripened. I learned this trick from a friend. Perfect avocadoes for about 2 weeks or more.

Love Avocados, like to slice them once ripe, put some salt on them and eat them plain, add them sliced to a turkey, or ham sandwich with mayo, make dip and use as such crackers or dipping chips assorted, love to add to my bowl of Chili on top chopped up in chunks. . So many uses casseroles bakes. Etc.
