I bought this for my 3 year old son - the sandbox is just the right size for him to play in without being overwhelmed with a large amount of space. If you have more than 1 child, I would recommend getting a bigger sandbox, but this is perfect for those with the 1 child.

I bought this sandbox for my granddaughter. It is exactly as described. Easy to assemble and super cute. Most importantly, she loves it and hasn't bored of it yet. The digger and additional accessories are awesome too. We used 2 50lbs bags of sand to fill it. The lid fits perfectly and is easy to close.

A little disappointed with this sand box. It was a bit smaller than I had anticipated. I also feel it was poorly designed in some aspects. There is no way to cover the excavator part of the toy so I am constantly having to wipe bird poop, grass, etc off of the excavator before play. It would have been better if the excavator could be tucked in under the cover. The worst part however, is the two holes for the tools and the way the cover comes off. Anytime it rains and you take the cover off of the sand box all the sand gets soaked! The holes for the tools dont have any cover over them so they are constantly filled with water with no easy way to drain as you cant simply lift a sandbox full of sand and dump the water out. Its a sandbox that was not designed to be outside. My son loves playing with this but it has several annoying flaws.

It's ok, not very big, which you can tell from the item pictures. We had a bigger wood one where the sand would get wet, but the wood rotted in less than 2 years. This will be nicer and keep the sand dry. Plus the kids love the crane and trucks. The price was good too.

Really cute! I was very pleased with the quality of the toy. My grandsons loved it. The box is not large enough to for my two and four year olds to sit in. I purchased the toy to allow them to play with the sand not to sit in it. The toys that come with the box are adorable and little tykes quality. I placed the box in a covered area and this factor along with the cover for the toy keeps the sand clean. I purchased a bag of play sand from Walmart to fill the box . I am very pleased with this toy!

It is not meant to have kids sit in the sandbox. I happen to like that idea. It holds exactly 100 pounds of sand and the lid fits nicely on top when he is done playing. The set comes with some cute toys that he also seems to enjoy. He has not quite figured out how to use the crane but I am sure when he does the sand will be flying.

Likes:Small footprint, doesn't take up much space. Top is easy to put on and off. Keeps cats and critters out of box. Could also be used as a Small splash pool or place to play with water. Dislikes: grandkids get the sand everywhere ;). It's heavy after you load the sand (2-50 lb bags). Make sure you have it where you want it when you fill it up. Easiest way to clean up after play time is with a blower!

The sandbox is great, and Walmart's shipping was SUPER FAST, and SUPER LOW COST. Almost too good to be true. I just ordered 4 ounces of electronics from an online reseller, and they are charging me $15, and it will take several days. Walmart charged only around $8 shipping for the sandbox and I got it in 3 days!!!

The Little Tikes Big Digger Sandbox was a huge hit!! Our grandson has been digging in it every day. He drags over the rest of his construction "fleet" and goes to town. The sandbox is very sturdy as well and is just the right size for a toddler. Jackson is really having a lot of fun with it. We highly recommend it. We had ordered the sandbox from Amazon who came back many days later to say they couldn't deliver on time. We really appreciated the prompt delivery, ahead of the promised date.
