A little disappointed with this sand box. It was a bit smaller than I had anticipated. I also feel it was poorly designed in some aspects. There is no way to cover the excavator part of the toy so I am constantly having to wipe bird poop, grass, etc off of the excavator before play. It would have been better if the excavator could be tucked in under the cover. The worst part however, is the two holes for the tools and the way the cover comes off. Anytime it rains and you take the cover off of the sand box all the sand gets soaked! The holes for the tools dont have any cover over them so they are constantly filled with water with no easy way to drain as you cant simply lift a sandbox full of sand and dump the water out. Its a sandbox that was not designed to be outside. My son loves playing with this but it has several annoying flaws.

We bought this sandbox as a birthday present for our 4 year old. He absolutely loves it! We did not want a huge box, that he would be sitting in, So this was perfect for what we wanted. It holds 2, 50lb bags of sand (we purchased ours at Lowes) I love how the lid is converted into a ramp. We are very happy with it!

Great for my two year old who’s an only child. The box is smaller but perfect for what we were looking for. He loves the construction trucks and could play in it allll day. We placed the lid on incorrectly and had several days of rain which led to it filling with water and taking forever to dry out enough to be damp and instead of a pool.

The sandbox is great, and Walmart's shipping was SUPER FAST, and SUPER LOW COST. Almost too good to be true. I just ordered 4 ounces of electronics from an online reseller, and they are charging me $15, and it will take several days. Walmart charged only around $8 shipping for the sandbox and I got it in 3 days!!!

Love it! I wanted a smaller sandbox. My son loves it. My only cons are the lid takes a little extra effort to put back in, and the excavator doesn’t spin well when sand gets in the space below it. Some people used two bags of sand. I used one and it was plenty!

My 3 year old grandson loves the box but doesnt care for the large shovel. My 5 year old granddaughter plays in it for short periods especially if I hide small plastic toys in it. I like the smaller size as not room to climb in and track sand into the house; also will be easier to store. 50 pounds is sand was fine; best place to get sand was a big box home improvement store.

This product is not too big for my patio in my townhouse as I thought it might be. I like the very important and needed cover and the fact that the cover is a added play equipment item, adding to the fun. The back hoe is awesome and so much fun for my grandson, I really love this sandbox.

If I had to say anything negative, it could be a little bit bigger because kids love to sit in the sand lol. still a great deal for the sale price!

I know many people complained the size. Come on guys, did your pay $400 or $40? If you paid the latter, dont complain about the size. This sand box is not meant for a kids to sit it. Its perfect size for us to use as a construction site sandbox. Kids( 2 and 3) love it super and kept them busy here for hours. Quality is great and solids. I love it comes with cover and we dont have to worry about rainy days.

It is not meant to have kids sit in the sandbox. I happen to like that idea. It holds exactly 100 pounds of sand and the lid fits nicely on top when he is done playing. The set comes with some cute toys that he also seems to enjoy. He has not quite figured out how to use the crane but I am sure when he does the sand will be flying.
