So this is a good size for in the house sand fun. But it's small . Perfect for my one year old but his 2 year old sister cant get inside with. They accessories are great but the digger that’s attach. Don’t screw on too tight cause if u do it’s hard to move. Now as far as sand goes. I purchase 50lbs from Jurassic sand and it filled it half way which is what I wanted to do. I could have did 25 bs and save me money because it all over the place. Lol. Overall I like the box but bad item for me.

I wanted to get a sandbox for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. I was considering the turtle, but he's been obsessed with trucks since he turned one. The cover on this becomes a ramp, and the construction guys and accessories were perfect. The lid fits tightly to protect the sand when not in use.

I have a toddler boy and a toddler girl. They both love playing in this sandbox. I love that one character is a female and the other is a male. Super easy to set up and to take apart, to use the cover when finished play. There was enough room for them to play together, it keeps them entertained for hours.

This is much much much smaller than it appears to be. I was disappointed to find that the ramp side does not fold up over into the sandbox, you have to pull it up off of the sandbox and place it on top. That was one of the parts that I was most interested in, was an easy cover.

Love the product, but couple of items are missing in the package - the screws and one of the characters. I will be calling customer service so hopefully they will be able to send the missing parts without having to return the full package. It is disappointing that I can't attach the digger to the base after getting the kid so excited about his new sandbox.

This Little Tikes Big Digger sandbox with lid is so small but its a lot of fun for little toddler/preschoolers. As others have said, the manufacturers information is misleading. The sandbox itself is only 8 inches tall and about 25 inches wide. The box rim has openings all along it so you can't fill to the top with sand. This can hold exactly 100 lbs of sand. The excavator is very cool and its the reason that we chose to buy this. We have a 2 yr old and 3-1/2 year old playing with this and they both love it so much. They have spent a lot of hours this week digging in the sand.

Okay, what kid doesn't love a sndbox? But we live in Michigan, and playing outdoors in the winter months isn't an option. When I found my grandson playing in the kitty litter, I decided to look for an indoor sandbox. This one is compact, and the "ramp" lifts up to become a cover (which also keeps kitty fromtrying to use the sandbox for her own purposes.) I put a tarp under it, bought a few monster trucks and some awesome kinetic sand, and we are back in business. We all agree that this sandbox was a good investment.

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson's birthday. Was a bit disappointed in the size (smaller than I expected), however he was absolutely thrilled. As it turned out, it was the perfect size for him. He was happy with it, so that is all that mattered. Once we opened the box and set it up it is a really nice sandbox.

The Little Tikes Big Digger Sandbox was a huge hit!! Our grandson has been digging in it every day. He drags over the rest of his construction "fleet" and goes to town. The sandbox is very sturdy as well and is just the right size for a toddler. Jackson is really having a lot of fun with it. We highly recommend it. We had ordered the sandbox from Amazon who came back many days later to say they couldn't deliver on time. We really appreciated the prompt delivery, ahead of the promised date.

Sturdy sandbox with built-in toys that make it more entertaining than the classic green turtle sandbox. Easy to put together. The sand capacity is 100 lbs, which is two 50 lbs bags that I got for under $8 each at Home Depot, but the sand level of 100 lbs is very high in the box. So you should plan for some sand to be scattered out of the box. Otherwise, the cover also acts as a ramp, which provides more entertainment. I'd definitely buy this sandbox again.
