I got this for my son for his 3rd Birthday and he loves it! It is small, but the perfect size for 1 or 2 toddlers to play in. It only took 1 50lbs bag of sand to mostly fill it which is nice since it is then easier to empty for winter storage. The lid stays on pretty well so I don't think any animals will get in. I gave this a 4star instead of 5 because I wish the lid hinged shut. Instead you have to take it off, flip it over and attach it, but no big deal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that it is large enough to hold a lot of sand and compact enough to fit on back deck and I especially like that it makes into a covered top. Fun for my 3yr old and 7 year old grandkids to play with.

My 4 year old Absolutely loves this! Used one (1) 50lb. bag of play sand and it was perfect. I I glued the bottom of the two ‘people’ it comes with because my son quickly made ‘shakers out of them.’ The ramp turns into a cover for the sandbox which is perfect. No cons... What a great find.

Really cute! I was very pleased with the quality of the toy. My grandsons loved it. The box is not large enough to for my two and four year olds to sit in. I purchased the toy to allow them to play with the sand not to sit in it. The toys that come with the box are adorable and little tykes quality. I placed the box in a covered area and this factor along with the cover for the toy keeps the sand clean. I purchased a bag of play sand from Walmart to fill the box . I am very pleased with this toy!

I've never been a fan of sand boxes. The idea of my kids getting all sandy and then tracking that sand throughout my house. BUT this sand box is perfect. It's big enough to play but not big enough to sit in the sand. Love that it has a giant crane. My son is obsessed with anything construction. I bought a bunch of 3 inch dinosaur skeletons to hide in the sandbox and he uses his trucks and tools to find them. It's a game that keeps him occupied and gives me a 30 min break :) If your on the fence, just go ahead and get it. The price is unbeatable for everything you get with it.

This is an excellent toy. My 4yr old loves it. So do the 8 and 10 yr old. It's filled with water until the end of the summer per their request and then White sand for the winter. It will be on the covered deck so my sons can play with the sand in the snow- their big sand pit will be frozen and snow covered

I wanted to get a sandbox for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. I was considering the turtle, but he's been obsessed with trucks since he turned one. The cover on this becomes a ramp, and the construction guys and accessories were perfect. The lid fits tightly to protect the sand when not in use.

So this is a good size for in the house sand fun. But it's small . Perfect for my one year old but his 2 year old sister cant get inside with. They accessories are great but the digger that’s attach. Don’t screw on too tight cause if u do it’s hard to move. Now as far as sand goes. I purchase 50lbs from Jurassic sand and it filled it half way which is what I wanted to do. I could have did 25 bs and save me money because it all over the place. Lol. Overall I like the box but bad item for me.

This sandbox is great. Right now because of the cold frigid temps we are just using it inside. It is filled with Duplo blocks and toys that came with it. We haven't attached the digger yet. We will when we can take it outside and put the sand in it. My grandson just turned 3 and he loves playing in it and on it. I would recommend it. Other reviewers wished that it was bigger. I think it is the perfect size. If there were more than two children playing then it might get a little crowded. It really has neat features like the digger and the truck ramp. I would purchase again.

It's ok, not very big, which you can tell from the item pictures. We had a bigger wood one where the sand would get wet, but the wood rotted in less than 2 years. This will be nicer and keep the sand dry. Plus the kids love the crane and trucks. The price was good too.
