My wife had ordered a beef tenderloin at one of our local "boutique" grocery store chains a week or two ahead of time, with instructions to pick it up on Christmas Eve day. When she arrived that morning, she was told that there would be at least a two hour wait, and there was a long line of other customers in the same boat who had preordered items (NOT prepaid thank Goodness!). She called me, so I went to our local Sam's. Bought two pretrimmed Prime Beef Tenderloins, with no waiting whatsoever. We grilled one for Christmas dinner and it was delicious. We cut the other into 1 3/4" filets which we froze, I have since grilled a couple of those and they were mouth-watering as well. Will always get our holiday meat at Sam's from now on. I have been a long-time fan, and continue to be impressed with the quality of Sam's food.

Great tenderloin! I tried to save a little money and get filet from Sam’s instead of the butcher. They were out of precut so I tried this. It was soooo good! Melt in your mouth and could cut using a butter knife easily. I like my filets not quite so thick so I did about 1” pieces and got 16 filets out of my $100 tenderloin. Great deal!

best piece of meat we have ever had! my husband used it to make a dreamy Beef Wellington. It was tender, flavorful and just the right about the marbling. Delish!!!!

Seasoning and cooking is critical. This roast must not be over cooked. Remove from oven when internal temp reaches 125 F . Tent and allow to rest before slicing. Internet has plenty of recipes and instructions.

These extra trimmed tenderloins make great roasts that fit in a small slow cooker. The leftovers from cutting out the roasts can be used for minute steaks, beef for beef and noodles or the parts pounded together to make cube steaks. One could also just fry the small pieces with butter and make a beef chunk gravy. I cut out the roasts and wrap in butcher paper then vacuum seal and freeze.

Fantastic cut of beef. Always tender, even if you accidentally go past medium rare on the cook. Much cheaper option for getting your moneys worth as far as vutting up your own steaks and roasts

Good taste, and tender, as expected, but won't be buying it again at the same price. Same as Weis. Isn't Sam's supposed to be lower?

Felt Deceived. Thought I had found a perfect tenderloin. opened it up and found they had tucked quit a bit of both ends under the main cut to make it look bigger. Barely got 10 steaks from it. Usually this is a great, expensive piece of meat feom Sam's. This felt like a complete ripoff and deception.

This is our 3rd or 4th special meat purchase. This cut was NOT great, just barely good. We have always got the best Great cut from Sam’s Club. This cut was NOT good. We were disappointed after spending big bucks !!

Very poor quality. It was labeled and priced as extra trim but I had to trim about 1/2 lbs off. Then the tenderloin had a touch vein that made it hard to eat. Not what’s expected of a tenderloin for this price.
