I slow cook my roast for 5-7 hrs depending on the weight but my family & Friends say its the best they have had. pre-seasoned and marinated over night with adobo, next day add a serving spoon or 2 of sofrito, and 1 can of tomato sauce and several garlic cloves peeled and smashed in mortar. It is so tender and juicy. Add potatoes & carrots a coupe hours before its cooked and you have a great meal!!

THE PERFECT meat to cook Sous Vide at 131 degrees for 18-24 hours. Sliced for the VERY BEST ROAST BEEF sandwiches. Yuuummm... Some have complained about the fat/marbling which is necessary for a flavorful result.... GREAT for the CARNIVORE diet which is now recommended :-)

My whole family enjoy this angus beef, clean cut, very red color, very soft to cut and you can get good steaks, plus I can make a good amount of beef stew with potatoes. Only in a restaurant a steak is $25 and for that price here you can get way more at home. Loved, loved Strongly recommended you will not be disappointed.

I cooked this roast in a slow cooker. Normally 4-5 hours is sufficient for a roast this size in my slow cooker, so I started it at lunchtime like usual. We had to figure something else out for dinner because at dinner time the roast was still tough. I cooked it a few more hours and it finally got tender. I cooled it, refrigerated it, and re-heated it the next evening for a fine dinner. Plan on at least 7-8 hours in the slow cooker to get it tender, and then it will be delicious.

This cut is consistently priced lower than most sale prices at local stores. It is well marbled for a bottom round roast, and consistently yields a well flavored, tender roast when pricked with a fork, marinated for 1-3 days, reverse seared at 170° to 225° F to about 128° internal, seared with a barbecue glaze at 500° after resting, and sliced thinly across the grain. It is my "go to" roast whenI don't want to splurge on rib roast, want sandwiches or both.

I bought this roast to share with my family on New Year's Day, and it was excellent. Beef prices are sky high right now, but when I buy a roast that's so lean, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I put it in a cooking bag with onions and peppers, and everyone enjoyed it. There was very little wastage here.

The cow was super tough….. family an I where very disappointed considering the price we paid for it. The pork chops we got that day where rotten an had to be taken back. Idk if they are having cross contamination or what but the meats definitely been different lately.

Let it cook for a long time and with good gravy you'll be happy with this cut of meat.

We used roast to make deli style thin sliced sandwich meat. Great cut to use for this purpose.
