I thought I would splurge and have roast beef dinner. The longer it cooked the more it shrank. Turned out a little bigger than a meatball. I am thinking it was just a shell they filled up with water, seems that there was an unusual amount of liquid from this roast. What meat was available for the family was stringy, kinda like shoelaces.

I break this down to muscle direction, lightly freeze then cut against the grain marinate for two days then turn it into BEEF JERKY !!!!!

Poor quality beef yet expensive

A little dry when cooked but a good price and will look up ways to tenderize before cooking. I slice it as steaks and for stir fry.

Great for a roast, beef stew or soup. I cut it in half and will get two good, hearty meals with it. I have never been disappointed with the meat I buy at Sam's. It's always good quality & great tasting. Not too much fat…nice and lean!

This meat taste good but was really tough. I don't know cuts of meat very well, but this bottom round was not good. We slow roasted it for a few hours in broth.

very disappointed in the amount of fat on this cut. The final weight overall was 4.75 pounds and once i cut the huge slab of fat off and weighed it, it was almost 1 full pound of just fat!

We always enjoy this cut. First as a roast and then in stew. It is super lean so the stew scenario makes it tender. We tried brining last time and it turned out great.

An easy dinner put in a crockpot forget about it the smell calls you when it's done.
