flavorful, and cooked beautifully. I used it to make a traditional Colombian dish called Posta Negra Cartagenera, and it turned out spectacular. Quick recipe (how I made it): • Season the beef with salt, pepper, and a little garlic. Sear it until nicely browned. • In the same pot, sauté sliced onions and garlic, then add a splash of vinegar and soy sauce. • Add cola (or panela/brown sugar) for that signature sweet-dark flavor, plus bay leaf and a touch of cumin. • Return the beef to the pot, add a bit of beef broth, cover, and simmer low until tender. • Slice and spoon the dark, glossy sauce over the top. The result was tender, rich, and delicious—highly recommend this cut!

I bought this meat from Sam's Club for Thanksgiving, and it was a huge disappointment. As soon as I opened the package, it had a horrible smell, like spoiled meat. I still tried to cook it and even washed it during cooking to see if the smell would go away, but nothing helped. In the end I had to throw it in the garbage. This was honestly the worst purchase I've ever made. I still have a portion of the meat in my freezer, but I don't know if Sam's Club will even accept it back. Very disappointed and frustrated with this experience.

I put this in the CrockPot for 8+hrs along with Onions, carrots and potatoes and everything turned out well except the roast. It was done for sure because I ended up slicing it to serve. Just not a very good grade of roast beef( coming from my son-in-law who has been a butcher for over 34 years. It had a good taste but we ended up feeding it to the neighborhood Ferrell dogs.

Sam's Club consistently offers top-quality beef, and the Member's Mark USDA Choice Angus Bottom Round Roast is no exception when it comes to the quality of the meat itself. However, I was very disappointed by the excessive amount of thick fat I had to trim from this roast. At $5.98 per pound, with beef prices as high as they are today, customers should not have to pay for such a significant amount of unusable fat. The attached photos show just how much I removed from this 3.07-pound roast. I understand that some fat is necessary for flavor, but better trimming and quality control would make a tremendous difference. I enjoy shopping at Sam's Club and appreciate the quality of its meats, but I expect better value for my money, especially at today's beef prices.

This roast was tasty, but a little tough. I sliced it thin so that helped.

great piece of meat tender

I ordered this for home delivery. It had SO MUCH FAT on the bottom when I unwrapped it that I was appalled. Well over a pound if fat. It was also so tough tat even sow cooking it for sandwiches was nit very successful. I was shocked that our Sam’s would not trim away that much fat!

A nice large bottom round roast that we cut in half. We cooked one half for French Dip Sandwiches. They turned out wonderful; with the roast having a great taste. The other half we have frozen, but look forward to enjoying it sometime soon as well.
