I had hoped this cheese would be similar to the one I grew up with. It has a lot of water and it takes a lot of time to brown. Not a lot of flavor so not sure if another brand would be better.

This is the best cheese for quesadillas

I cut into quarter-inch slices and fry in a little olive oil. Cheese gets soft— doesn’t melt— and I brown on both sides.

The best panela cheese in my opinion, but it goes bad quickly so you either have to freeze it so it won’t go bad or eat it within a weeks span max
