Absolutely love Sam's Club cakes. Great quality cake at an amazing price. The cake stays moist for several days, even unrefrigerated. Just keep in a cool spot in your kitchen. My folks love icing. Sheet cake for 100th birthday celebration

The cake was moist and delicious, (marble cake with buttercream frosting). We had red and yellow roses, the message was in red also, with red piping around the edge. They did a very nice job and followed our request perfectly. I have never been disappointed with Sam's cakes.

Color options for Roses theme

I do not like that I am limited to only 4 color options if I select one of the decorative option (roses or balloons). I should be able to choose or substitute any colors for the cake that I would like. It is convenient to be able to place the order on the app but defeats the purpose if I can't have the cake the way that I want it. Even a note section would be helpful if i am able to note in there of the colors that I want.

It's the writing for me...

When I picked up this cake I was kind of in shock at how poorly the text was placed, organized, and written. The rest of the cake was decorated so nicely so it really stood out. It was so bad lol. After taking a few moments to think, I just accepted the cake as it were saying, "You know what, it actually fits the vibe". My co-worker was quitting and this cake was for her going away party. I contemplated scraping the writing off and re-doing it, but instead. I just added a few little pic signs that said "quitter" on them and a pic banner that said, "The writing on this cake sucks and so do you". I'll see if I can include pics... It turned out to be the highlight of the party and regardless of the writing, the cake was delicious so I can't be too mad.

Buttercreme frosting was very mediocre

The cake looked beautiful and was a marble cake as requested. However, the chocolate buttercreme frosting was very mediocre. It tasted waxy. It was not "good." No one at the party commented that the cake was tasty, as they always did in the past. Either this was not buttercreme, they cheapened the recipe, or it was a bad batch.

Inaccurate spelling

Name was incorrect. The name they put on cake was Nora. The correct name is Nova. When we arrived at pick up time to pick up cake. no one was at counter, found an employee which didn’t work in bakery. She was able to find cake.

Delicious with a significant glitch!

The cake was delicious and looked beautiful except for the writing on a white icing cake. The color white was used to write Happy 80th Birthday...... I did not choose that color and it was almost unreadable. If it came through as white writing, I would have thought someone would have called me regarding the color of the text.

Disappointed bakery customer.

The cake was poorly decorated with uneven lettering, a misshaped cake and it appeared that the person that decorated it either rushed through the job, or no one was looking over finished work. I was embarrassed to put this cake out at our daughter's adoption celebration and honestly felt Sam's should bave been embarrassed to allow something so poorly done to leave. The bakery manager was too busy to speak to me, but the store manager did at least refund my money. When I asked for them to redo another cake, I was told it would be an hour, which I thought was another example of unsatisfactory customer service. I can't imagine that I will ever order another cake from Sam's bakery again, or if i do, it will be a long time. This experience has left me very disappointed.

Cake Disaster

At pick up the cake was sitting on the cart opened. There were flies flying around and who knows how many feasted on the cake before we got there. The frosting was smashed and smeared on the packaging. When I asked if it could be fixed the girl told me no. She then proceeded to put it (still opened) into my cart. I told her we could not accept the cake like this as it was for a special event and was already paid for. She said I can’t help you. Maybe they’ll give you a gift card as a refund. I told her that was unacceptable I needed it refunded in exact form of payment. She had to call her manager. In the end we got refunded. It was a real disappointment as I had to figure out a different dessert to feed 50 people and we drove 2 hours specifically to pick up the special order, causing us to wasted tons of time and gas. I would not recommend.

Very Disappointed

Because of the new requirements, you can no longer order a cake at the counter. You must order it online. For two days I tried to order my cake and it would not go through so I went in store and a very nice woman helped me. We did everything exactly how I wanted the writing on the cake however when I picked up the cake two days later everything was wrong, the color of the writing and the message on the cake totally wrong. Unfortunately that same nice woman was not there.There was nobody behind the counter to even try to help me. The one person that was there barely spoke any English for me to even try to get my cake fixed. I have always loved ordering my cakes at Sam’s Club, but now I am going to be forced to look elsewhere. I am so disappointed. They need to go back to the old way where you can order in person and pay for your cake right then and there. I believe that was the problem why they now do everything online so payment is upfront, but there’s no reason that you can’t pay upfront in store when ordering your cake. That’s how it should be!!!
