This gate is fairly sturdy, and I will be keeping it up, hoewever it was not very easy to install. I am using it at the top of a staircase, and it was impossible to make the bottom of the gate flush with the floor. It could not be maneuvered around the baseboard on my walls. This makes it awkward to go down the stairs. This gate is also not nearly as adjustable in size as the description states. Overall, not a terrible value for the money, but not a fantastic find, either.

We wanted something to block the dogs off from the kids rooms...to prevent chewed up toys....but still wanted the kids (preschool age) to be able to access there room without help. It worked!!! we just don't use the safety lock feature (gates still stay closed w/o it). everyone can get into there rooms without the chewing pups (and w/o mom having to drop everything and come and help). Gates are made of sturdy metal and ajust to fit wide door frames......Loooove the gates. they have helped us soooo much.

Bought this gate thinking it would be perfect for where I needed it. The opening was too narrow. It did a good job keeping my dogs out of where they are not allowed to be. But it was difficult to get my husband's drum set though when he had gigs. Ended up returning it and got something that fitted my needs.

We purchased 2 of them after much research on gates and reading reviews. We had a hard time finding a gate for that could be mounted for the top of the stairs that would also adjust different at the top and bottom due to high baseboards. This is working great so far! However, for some reason when we had to use the wall mounts, it was too short without the extension, and too tight with the 6 inch that is included. We had to go through the Regalo site to purchase a 4 inch extension which was another 20 with shipping. However, it fits perfectly now. In another doorway where it is pressure mounted it worked fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gate is definitely the best baby gate I have, and I have 5 others, all different brands. I love that its a metal tension rod, as compared to wood or plastic. My favorite feature is that it has plastic pieces you screw into the wall with a plate piece to prevent the tension rods from slipping or being pushed forward by your baby. There's nothing at all that I dislike about it, I am 100% satisfied with this baby gate and will be recommending it to all my mom friends and they can see it for themselves when they come over for a play date.

I am so glad I decided to order this! I needed a gate that would allow me to block off my kitchen area. I have 2 boys, a 3 year old and a 1 year old, plus a 14 week old puppy. Clearly, this gate gets beat up around my house. My oldest son can open the gate, but I have no problems with him getting into the kitchen area since he is old enough to listen and understand. My youngest can only open it if I leave it unlocked. I can open it with one hand and when I'm holding my son. The gate also gives you the option of a modified hardware mount. You can mount these cups to the wall and install the pressure mounted gate to the cups. This makes it harder for the gate to slip out of place. So far, I've only pressure mounted it to the wall (without the cups) and pretty good. My puppy was able to get it out of place once, but I noticed he chews on the wheels that adjust the pressure mounting system and I think he just loosened the tension. Other than that, the gate has worked wonders. Better than spending a ton of money for a temporary fix! By the way, I have two of these gates and I may be getting a third.

I am about to buy my 3rd one! I love this gate! I have an 18 month old that loves to get in everything and is now climbing out of his crib. This is the stylish, most value for your money gate, my opinion! I would recommend this product to everyone who has little ones or pets that like to get in to rooms that are off limits! The price is great most gates go for 40-80 bucks, this one is great for the money and we love them, also very durable!

We have one Labrador that is a gate jumper. Standard style gates that you can step over were not tall enough for him. This gate is the perfect height to prevent him from leaping over and the swing door is easily operated for frequent use. The extension included with the gate makes it more flexible for larger door ways. Would buy again, would recommend.

Easy to install if you have a power drill to screw in the wall mounts for extra support. I had help installing it because it's hard to measure. With just the pressure alone it does not feel safe. I like that the gate only swings one way and you have to push down on handle to activate the lock. The safety lock is sometimes not easy to open with one hand. The opening is very narrow to walk through. It's nice to have the extensions and i like the metal but your baby can get hurt on the metal rails if they do not have proper balance yet. Overall it does the job.

I bought this product for my new puppy. It is wonderful & has been perfect because it is easy to use & I don't have to take the whole thing down everytime I walk through. The door is great. The only thing that I thought was a little confusing was the set up. When we got the product some of the parts that were preassembled were on backwards so we had to take them off & reassemble them. Wasn't a big deal at all--set up took about 20 minutes & we haven't had any problems with the gate. Great buy for the price.
