I was tired of the "old style" gate that worked off pressure and pulling the bar up, then trying to reset it. This gate, all we have to do is lift and swing open. It appears durable enough, keeps the dogs downstairs, cats can jump over. So far so good, we are very content.

We use this at the bottom of the stairs. It was easy to install, just a pressure gate. It works fine. My two complaints are one: the total area is sort of narrow. It doesn't quite stretch far enough and causes it to be a little loose. Worse part is that the actual opening is very narrow. That being said, it works well and is a great value for the money.

I bought this gate with the hopes of keeping my dog out of another room, however my 9 pound dog was able to squeeze through the space between the bars. Installation was very easy and it worked really well. I would recommend this gate to anyone other than someone who is trying to contain a small dog.

The gate is great once installed. It allows easy passage and the space between is nice and small to keep my 10 lb dog contained. The only complaint I have is that it is difficult to install by yourself. I understand it is made to be flexible in width but that is what makes it difficult to hold together while installing. Also you have to screw the grips for a long time to get it tight enough for the gate to be able to close.

I bought another gate and my daughter learned fast how to open it. This one is easy to open yet my very intelligent 3 year old can't figure it out, which is great because its meant to keep her away from dangerous basement stairs and a scary open platform in our laundry room! I love that it swings both ways and it was really easy to install!

I read the instructions completely before putting this together. Some of the other reviews had mentioned issues so I wanted to be clear going in. I put it together and installed this gate by myself with no issues. I actually installed multiple gates. If your baby is crawling you can shut it without latching, but once he starts standing the latch lock works great. I saw some people complaining about it, but I can unlatch and open with one hand without issue. My suggestion is to read the instructions before you do anything else and this should work fine.

I did the site to store an we waited for 15 minutes before someone would help us. At least 5 employees walked past us, without saying anything. Then when we finally got help an received our gate, the box was all torn up an all the screws for it where just laying in the box.

Put this gate up at the bottom of our stairs (to keep curious duo from climbing the steps) and my son took it down the first day. We placed it square in the area, secured the rubber anchors on all four corners as tight as they would go and they still bowed when the gate was bumped the least little bit. Plan to return and get a different gate.

The gate only swings one way and the latch is plastic. I don't think it will last. I was disappointed as I ordered one other one about two months ago and thought this was the same one. My mistake. The other gate swings both ways and the latch is metal. Much better.

Love this gate. I bought it for a new puppy. It installed in minutes and I like the fact that it's very easy to open. Since I'm using it for a puppy, I don't need to lock the handle each time so all you have to do is lift. If you were using it for a child, it's very easy to lock the handle so they can't open the gate themselves. It fit in my 40 inch doorway just fine.
