These gates are sturdy and fairly easy to open and close once installed. They are, however, somewhat time-consuming to install, and you wouldn't want to put them up and take them down frequently. We put 2 gates up when my 1-year-old grandson visited, and I had hoped we could take them down when he was asleep. Considering the time and effort to install them, this wasn't practical. They stayed up until grandson went home.

I like the gate, however it failed to keep my 3 1/2 year old grandson from figuring out how to use it. The minute we put it up he figured out how to open it. We needed something that would keep him out of the kitchen so he wouldn't get into the refrigerator and closets in kitchen.

We have four of these gates in our home. They are study pressure mounted gates, the lock is secure, they can swing both ways but you can set it to make sure they only open one side and they hold tight, my curious one year old uses them to help stand up and leans back while holding them, I have no consents about the gates wavering. I like that I didn’t need to drill holes in my walls for them. I also like that they are aesthetically pleasing in our home

It's a very nice gate and what we needed. I do wish the stoppers on the end that pushes against the wall were a little tougher. On my paint on the siding it makes the gate slide a little if too much weight is leaned on the gate. Overall it's a good sturdy gate.

I have a 3 year-old daughter who is currently potty training and needs to be able to get into the bathroom on her own and this gate is easy enough to open that she can do that. At the same time I have a 21 month-old boy who gets into everything and needs to be kept out of the bathroom for his own safety and this gate does that too which is good since I am going crazy having 3 kids under 4 and another one on the way I don't need a baby gate with issues.

I like this gate, but we have a little 2 pound puppy that can slip right thru the bars. I'm hoping in a couple of weeks she will be a little bigger and the problem will be solved, but right now I am back to blocking off the gate and the doorway with the cardboard that the gate came in. The gate is very sturdy and easy to open to walk thru and will be great when my puppy gets a little bigger.

It needs to be screwed into the wall, the pressure mount is great but can not hold up to a walking kiddo who wants to get passed it. It was easy to install the plates though to screw it in place. The only thing I don't like is that it's not easy to open, you almost need two hands-not an easy task if babe is all ready in your arms,

This gate is great for the price you're paying. We're planning to buy a couple more of them now that we've tested it out. I can't say I'm overly impressed with the design of the gate since it won't stay closed if you don't have enough tension on it and it will not open easily if you have too much tension on it....but for the price, it's definitely worth saving the money over the more fancy gates if money is an issue. It seems to fit reasonably well in all of the openings we need it for. We have openings we're using it for ranging from 32" to about 40 or 41". My 3 year old daughter is able to open it, which I like, but my little baby will still be protected (as long as we make sure our toddler closes the gates behind her). I also like that it comes with one extension. I would recommend this gate if you're looking for the swing gate design and don't want to spend a lot of money!

bought this to keep my dogs contained in one room and it works great . They chewed up the other plastic one and this one is metal so not able to chew this one. Also love that i can open and walk thru and not have to climb over the other like the other kind we had... I went ahead and ordered one for my grandmother and her dogs.....

The gate's pass through works exactly as I was hoping. It's easily opened one handed. The gate itself is very sturdy. It's simple to set it up and very easy to use. I'm very happy with this product. If I decide I need a second gate, I will definitely get this one again.
