The door on this gate swings both ways. As this is used at the top of a staircase which is used quite a bit this is beneficial. My only complaint is that the metal isn't as strong as I would have liked but my grandson has tried pulling on the gate and it does it's job.

We bought this swing gate because we have a 9 month old and a 7 year old. We are back and forth through the doorway day and night. Spending the extra money on this gate was WELL WORTH IT. It is SO EASY to use and was simple to install. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We have a 10 mo. old who crawls everywhere. This gate was easy to install, is durable (metal). The only problem is is the opening - "door" for the adults - it is a bit narrow - only 16 in. - bit too narrow if you need to bring anything downstairs - like laundry etc.

I use this at the bottom of my stairs and it works great. It's not as "smooth" as my $75 gate and the clasp function to keep it closed isn't always the easiest to open one-handed when I'm carrying a sleeping child, but it also means that my daughter can't open it. It's a great product for the money. Nothing out of the ordinary, but very stable. Didn't have to put anything permanent into my walls which I like. I'd buy it again.

Got this one to limit access for the pets. Both large and small dogs and a cat. Works really well. Best part is the way to open and close the gate with one hand. If you need to get up at night and have to get somewhere fairly quick without a lot of fumbling, this is the gate for you. It easily opens with one hand, and be secured with ease. Yet it has a snap lock option that will would be a challenge for little hands. Gate is easily installed and looks nice. It is metal so the dogs can't chew it up. I did the pick up at the store so no delivery fee. Overall a good deal and much cheaper than one at the pet store.

Pros: Easy to install, durable, latch is easy to use, very tall gate, and has a door Cons: Opens only one way and has a very narrow opening I bought this gate specifically for my fur babies because my last gate couldn't keep them in. The pressure mounts adjust separately so I had no trouble setting up the gate in the hallway with my baseboard that sticks out a bit. The handle is easy enough to use (I have been able to open and close gate with one hand). The gate Is very tall and has vertical bars so you don't have to worry about babies or toddlers being able to easily climb it or anyone going over the gate . I love that it has a door so I don't have to keep sliding anything around the only two drawbacks I can think of is that the gate makes your hallway very narrow (so my mother who is a bit on the chunky side) has to come in sideways but it's not a huge deal in my household just thought I would mention it and also it only opens one way so depending on which direction you want the gate to open you have to set it up facing a certain direction. I would definitely recommend this product

Love this gate! Bought it for the door way of my daughters room and I have not been disappointed! It was very easy to install and operate; the little red latch is confusing at first but you get the hang of it after a while! The opening is also great; my husband is a bigger man and had trouble trying to get through the gates we were going to use on our stairs (he had to turn sides ways to get through them)...no problem walking through this gate at all!! Would totally buy this gate again!

This gate has been a life saver for me. Living in Florida it gets hot so I don't like to leave my dogs on the patio all day. With this gate I know that they are secure in my hallway (a wooden gate was torn apart by my 2-year old shepherd). Plus it is easy to open and close even for my 4-year old grandson. I would recommend this to anyone. It does take two people to set it up. But once it is up, it is very sturdy. Even with a 90 lb. dog jumping up.

I love this gate got it to keep my 80lb half lab, half pit baby in my bedroom when someone comes, it was a little hard to put up at first but didn't need the extention and then when I got it up and bam it held her in and she can't get through it unless I let her out the door way it is easy for her to step over once I open the swing door I love it and would highly recommend it for pets and small children, just watch the bottom rail if you have it high like I do..

This product does not fit any staircase. They need to explain that in description. the hooks on the side of the staircase needs to be really screwed to the wall otherwise it will come out. Our stairs rails are metal and we could not screw that to the rails. Stayed at the rails for one day and my baby (7months old) tried to pull the door and the whole thing came off!!! this product is not safe for any environment. BE WARE!!!!!
