I bought this gate because the old one we had wasn't very sturdy and my 10 month old loved to try to climb it. It was super easy to put together & install, and is very sturdy. I have a 4.5 year old as well and a 2 year old nephew that I watch regularly. My 4.5 year old is able to open and close the gate easily, while it can contain the 2 year old. It was able to withstand the 2 year old and my 10 month old shaking and slamming into the gate, however I had to put the bracket cups on after my 4 year old threw a temper tantrum and knocked the gate part way off the wall. It takes a little bit to get the hang of opening the gate with one hand, but it is easy to do once you figure it out. , just beware of the lip across the bottom of the gate door, my family is full of klutz's and we have all tripped over it multiple times.

I love this gate! It is very easy to open and close one-handed once you get the hang of it, and was easy to set up - even with my 8 month old "helping". It took about 5 minutes to set up, and is holding steady in the doorway 3 weeks later. The only things that aren't great are that the doorway is a little narrow, which takes some getting used to, and the gate is only available online. However with sitetostore, shipping is free, so it's totally worth it.

It’s great that now I don’t have to take down a baby gate whenever I leave my sons room I’m short so I can’t step over baby gate. I haven’t had any problem with it couldn’t mount it tho because my frames are metal but it’s pretty sturdy haven’t had any problems and my son doesn’t even touch it.

Easily adjusts to fit your doorway, has an extension if needed. Simple to use, but very effective with small children and dogs. Handle lifts to swing open the gate which I like when going in and out of the room frequently, and can be locked to keep little ones in or out. Would definitely recommend.

You can use it pressure mounted that way it is removable or screw it in place to make it permanently fixed in place.

Fits openings 29-40 inches wide with included extension kit and stand 31 inches tall These are well made gates, the only issues with all brands it seems to be that they are either not wide enough or too wide. There is not enough different sizes. when you use the extension all the way the extension bolt starts to bow ...need to make the bolts stronger set up is super easy we mounted to wood pieces to make stronger

This gate is easy to install and even easier to use. It keeps the pig and dog where I want them but allows the cat to jump over and go where he wants, exactly what I needed! I will be sure to recommend this to anyone with pets or children. This is the best swing gate you can buy for less than $70.

We bought this gate and the Evenflo metal stairway gate. This one is installed at the bottom of stairs. Due to studs not lining up, we use it pressure mounted which is ok, but would be better screwed in. If you are very large, you will have trouble also fitting through opening. Also, bottom of gate has about a one inch bar, so care is needed to avoid tripping. But overall gate is pretty good. We kept it.

Upon pulling out of the box it was easy to set up and put together and the instructions easy to follow. It fits perfect in my doorway and is tall enough to keep my kids and dogs out. I also like the fact thay if one hand if full i can easily open the gate door and walk through.

We purchased this gate to keep our dogs from running out of the front door. we LOVE it. My mother has arthritis and it is so easy for her to open with only one hand. It can lock, but we usually dont use the lock because we are not trying to contain kids, only dogs. We have three so far and would buy more if needed at any time.
