First off I bought this on a Monday and it got delivered that Wednesday. Secondly, very easy to install and pretty self explanatory. It's made well, sturdy and fits my opening perfectly (39in). For the price and the quality, I plan on buying another one for my baby that's constantly on the run :)

I apparently read the details for this gate wrong because I thought it swung open both ways but it does not. I have it at the base of my steps which are on the right side of my house and the gate opens to the left which puts it in an awkward place when open. The lever that locks it partially but enough for the use to keep my 15 month old off the steps is one handed but the red clip that really locks it is a two handed job. Overall I like the gate just fine and it serves its purpose and is relatively easy to install with one person. If you have an extra hand to hold it in place that works even better.

I bought this swing gate for my small 12 pound dog. She was able to jump over this 31" high gate and escape. However, Walmart has the lowest price I've seen for this gate. Pluses are you can adjust the pressure on all for legs in case the door isn't level. If you want a gate for a dog you may need to buy Walmart's Carlson 41" high gate for $65.

I bought this gate to keep my toddler and other daycare kiddos away from the stairs... I have a normal sized opening from the livingroom to the stair way and this gate does not fit! Even with the pressure points all the way out it still isn't big enough... and finding the extensions are difficult!! Needless to say this gate has been sitting in my closet since the box was destroyed ...

We purchased the hands-free name brand style gate for $70 first, and we are regretting having not purchased this one. We needed two for our kitchen/family room area, and had I known this gate was available we would have saved the money and simply purchased two of them to begin with. This is a great find, just as sturdy as other tension-mount swing gates out there. They are all a little difficult to put up given the tension has to be even throughout, but it works great and looks just as nice as the others. Definitely purchase this if you're looking for this style gate, worth every penny!

Hi, I got the gate yesterday to keep my two year old out of the kitchen. Pros: The gate is easy to put up, very sturdy, and I don't think he will figure out how to unlock it for awhile. Cons: the opening to walk thru is a little narrow and the bar at the bottom has caused some family member's to trip because they had forgot it was there. Also, I would say it is for ages 0-3yrs old depending on the child. After watching us a couple of times my 4yr old niece has figured out how to unlock it. Also my two year can open it if its not locked completely. So to insure that your little one will not get in or out make sure you hear the "click" to know that its locked. Overall good gate but it has only been 24hrs.

I bought this gate in 2012 to keep my son out of my 3 year old daughters room as she has lots of little things he can choke on! But I didn't want to close her door when she was in there so I can still check in on her. We were able to teach her to unlock it by herself within a few days of purchasing it so she can come and goes as she pleases. We are now buying another one for my son's room since he now is sleeping in a toddler bed and we need a gate up at night to make sure he stays in his room. I don't like closing there doors at night so this is the best solution! Hope this helps and the cost is well worth it to keep them safe!

We needed baby gates to corral our little one in the living area of our home. This gate is easy to open, which is great. I can open it with one hand while carrying my baby. You can lock the easy-open handle, and my friend's 2 year old was not able to open it herself. I would recommend this to anyone.

I love this baby gate. Our puppy started having luxating patella problems suddenly so we have to limit her space so she can begin to heal. I love this gate, it's easy to walk through and it works in our hallway which has a molded baseboard on the bottom. This gate has 4 places to adjust so this problem no longer exists. Exactly what we needed!

I had purchased this gate to replace the one my 1yr old would climb up because of the lattice type design. I first purchased an evenflo that said to be easy open, but it was not. So I decided to try this Regalo Easy Open and see if it was or not easy open. Its great!! We dont even lock it all the way because it has a close feature that closes without locking. I can easily open this with one hand (even when it is locked. The kids do manage to knock it down every once in a while but its so easy to put back up. ( I bought this gate to fit a 39" opening). Cons: opening could be a tad bigger, I would not reccommend this for a larger person (being pregnant i have to watch my belly. LOL), and only opens oneway, which is not terrible
