We bought this gate because we wouldn't have to drill holes into our banister at the stairs. That is a plus with this. Cons: The gate opening is very small, so if you're carrying your baby/carseat, diaper bag, and purse- or even just 1 of these things, it is very difficult to get through the "door" part of it, especially if you're using this gate on stairs. It is also difficult to open and close if your hands are full. I would recommend this gate for anywhere in the house besides at your stairs.

THE INSTALLATION WAS SO QUICK AND THE FIT WAS PERFECT FOR THE NOT SO PERFECT OPENING THAT IT WAS USED IN. I AM SLIGHTLY HANDICAPPED AND I NEED A GATE IN MY BATHROOM TO KEEP MY LITTLE DOG OUT OF THE SHOWER WHEN THE WATER IS RUNNING AND THE GATE KEEPS HIM OUT TILL I TURN OFF THE WATER AND LET HIM STEP IN WITH ME. IT ALSO IS VERY ATTRACTIVE AND DOES NOT LOOK BAD IN MY SHOWER DOORWAY. IT ALSO GIVES ME ALITTLE MORE SECURITY IN MY SHOWER FOR ME TO HOLD ON TO THE GATE AS I STEP OUT ONTO THE BATH RUG. THIS IS A GREAT ITEM FOR ANY DOORWAY IN YOUR HOME.

I purchased this gate to go at the bottom of my stairs. We got a new puppy and enter to be able to contain him and our existing cat for a while. This gate worked out great! The puppy cannot knock it over and the cat fits through the bars so she can come and go as she pleases. Overall great value.

The Regalo swing gate is very durable,easy to install,and no holes in walls to install.I am using it to block my pet in a certain area,my pet was jumping and pushing on the gate but it held with no problems at all.The gate is stronger than it looks.The gate is installed from my kitchen and it looks very good,and blends in with my white walls.I am thinking about buying another one soon.

We just purchased this gate to use as a pet gate to keep a puppy away from the carpet during training. It has easy to read instructions and easy assembly as well as installation. We wanted a gate that was easy open as we have grandkids that would have trouble opening some gates but the latch does lock if we would need it too. So far we would recommend this gate.

This gate is for my day care to keep the kids out of the kitchen. It is easy to install and uninstall as I will put in up and down every day for day care. Th older kids can easily learn how to open the gate while the younger kids still cannot figure it out. The only problem we have is we keep tripping on the small lip that goes across the bottom. We are going to try painting the bottom strip a bright color so we might not trip as often.

Love the gate. It is very safe. Extra optional twist latches at the bottom of the gate to keep it secure if u have it at the top of the stairs. 4 stars only because the gate opening to walk through is pretty marrow and it is challenging walking through with something as common as a laundry basket in your hand. Overall I love it though.

I am very happy with the product - I purchased two of them. I no longer have to deal with adjusting security gate every time I enter or leave the room. Very easy for the older children to walk-in and out of the room then just having to lock the gate door - very convenient.

I think this is a good gate if you intend to install the wall cups to the wall. If you intend to use the pressure mount option, it may not be secure enough. With the extension, there is a little too much movement to get a really tight pressure fit. I would definitely recommend if used with the wall cups, though. It looks good and price was so much better than other metal gates with a swinging door.

I bought 2 of these gates. Not impressed, my three year old figured out how to open it with in 10 mins. Now they are a pointless buy. They would be perfect probably for anyone gating off animals or children under 3 years of age as my daughter figured it out super fast. Ugh kids lol
