This gate was extremely easy to put up (I actually purchased two). I use it to keep my small dogs confined as needed and so far have no issues. The lock is a bit tedious to open when pushed into the locking position, so I only push it all the way down if I'm leaving the house. I've just been pushing it down without clicking it and it can just be lifted up and down when moving room to room. I purchased another gate that was too small to fit my doorways and it was more expensive and difficult to install. I think this is great for the price and it's not junky looking either.

Check the measures first!! I was short for one inches and I has to order on their web site so I had to paid $36 for the extension. Once everything was installed it has not strengthens what soever, good to stop my yorkie but it doesn't work for puppy boxer :(

We purchased this baby gate for the top of our stairs. It installed very quickly and works well. We did not screw it into the walls but just used the pressure mounting. It is very secure. It does take two hands to open and shut it and the opening isn't very wide but it is a great value.

I use it to keep my dog out of the cat litter. The cats can jump over easily and the dog can't get in. I can open it with one hand since it goes into my laundry room and I usually am carrying an armload of clothes. Best thing I have ever bought, love it.

Love this gate. I bought it for a new puppy. It installed in minutes and I like the fact that it's very easy to open. Since I'm using it for a puppy, I don't need to lock the handle each time so all you have to do is lift. If you were using it for a child, it's very easy to lock the handle so they can't open the gate themselves. It fit in my 40 inch doorway just fine.

The gate is well made and attractive. It is easy to install and works as advertised. I rated this item "good" instead of "excellent" because the door opening is very narrow. This item is perfect for someone who is very slender however, a larger person must be careful entering and exiting.

well, it fulfill our requirements. light weight, ok price, proper height for stairs, easy installation. only thing is it's little hard to open it with one hand while holding baby. but we buy it for our 2 year old daughter. so in one way it's good that she cann't open it. it's not waste of money.

I bought another gate and my daughter learned fast how to open it. This one is easy to open yet my very intelligent 3 year old can't figure it out, which is great because its meant to keep her away from dangerous basement stairs and a scary open platform in our laundry room! I love that it swings both ways and it was really easy to install!

great product easy to install, having the door is awesome. Using it for my Scottish Terrier and it works fine for his size, will not work with small breeds. Tried to purchase on Ebay and Amazon...when shipping added This is by far the best price found! Picking up at local store--was faster than shipping to my home...highly recommend this purchase.

This Regalo Easy Step through gate is by far the best baby gate I have come across. I have tried a few others and found them very frustrating to install and to open. But the Regalo gate is fast and easy to install, and fits all the different door widths through out my entire house. Plus, once installed they are so simple to open, although figuring out how to do it one handed can be a bit tricky. I would definitely recommend this gate to anyone with kids or pets.
