Love the gate. It is very safe. Extra optional twist latches at the bottom of the gate to keep it secure if u have it at the top of the stairs. 4 stars only because the gate opening to walk through is pretty marrow and it is challenging walking through with something as common as a laundry basket in your hand. Overall I love it though.

I purchased this gate to go at the bottom of my stairs. We got a new puppy and enter to be able to contain him and our existing cat for a while. This gate worked out great! The puppy cannot knock it over and the cat fits through the bars so she can come and go as she pleases. Overall great value.

I love this gate ! I had beed banging my head against a wall trying to find the best solution to keeping my dogs in the back yard. The problem was the garage walk through door. Part of the garage is always open for the cars to get parked. But the other doorway is a pass through door between garage and back yard. That door didn't stay closed. I can't afford a electrical gate so low an behold I found this great metal latch gate. Its working amazingly and has been through several severe wind warnings.

I was tired of the "old style" gate that worked off pressure and pulling the bar up, then trying to reset it. This gate, all we have to do is lift and swing open. It appears durable enough, keeps the dogs downstairs, cats can jump over. So far so good, we are very content.

We have 2 of these to keep our dog confined. They work great and allow us to move through the doorway without removing the gate. FYI - if your dog is aggressive in trying to knock the gate down make sure you install the permanent cups that hold it in place.

I regularly buy from Walmart.com. They had a great price on the Regalo swing gate. I already have one and needed to add a second on. The gate itself is very easy to assemble and very easy to adjust for hall width. The spaceing with the slats is a little to wide if you have a small dog you are trying to keep in. However, for small children it works great. I like the swing gate and its catch. It is better than trying to climb over a traditional baby gate. As I said walmart.com had the best price. I elected the free shipping to my local store which was a big mistake. The product only had to come from about 200 miles away but took about 16 days to arrive. It spent another 3 days sitting on the truck outside the store. So it took a total of 19 days. I could bought it elsewhere for $5 more and had it come straight to my house in 3 to 4 days. This was the worst delivery experience I have every with walmart.com

We use this at the bottom of the stairs. It was easy to install, just a pressure gate. It works fine. My two complaints are one: the total area is sort of narrow. It doesn't quite stretch far enough and causes it to be a little loose. Worse part is that the actual opening is very narrow. That being said, it works well and is a great value for the money.

Easy assemble. Fits odd door openings. Used bottom of stairs. Can safety lock or just close.. easy to open. Safety lock will be tricky as baby ages.. shes one y/o n my 4y/o nephew learned quickly beacuse he was thought. However he cannot open the safety lock.

the tac welding is as cheap as you can possibly get. the bars are not fully welded. each bar has one spot weld on each end of the bar. mine broke in less than a week. instead of the hassle of returning it. i just used hot glue and applied as much as needed to the bar that disconnected. problem solved.

I purchased several of these gates. For the record, when I read reviews I am VERY skeptical as to their validity. Therefore I will tell you I am in North Grafton, MA 01536. Just a hint that I am real. In any event, I made purchase of several of these gates. They were easy to install and I especially love the locking mechanism on the top of the gate. It's great! It requires you to slide back small "catch" so that you can then open the handle. Great safety feature!
