Easy to start

Other than testing it, we haven't utilized it fully yet to allow for a full five-start review. However, the push to start and the remote start features are very handy compared to our old pull-to-start generator. We hope this will serve us well when we lose electrical power.

Nice looking unit a lot of features.

I bought this to replace a 5 KW I have which I can not pull any more bad shoulder. Put the wheels on put oil in it along with gas push the start button started right up. Plug in items work just fine, nice looking one. Happy with the buy should run what I need.

New generator

I bought this the end of January after a lot of snow and ice. It was easy to put together and fits in our garage nicely - not huge! Fortunately we have not had to use it yet but we are now ready to go if we have an emergency and I feel so much safer!

Off to a great start

Great looks, easy start with electric and pull. Bought to power home essentials during power outages, although I’ve not yet tested it under full load yet. I plan to leave an additional review once that happens. Price was fantastic when compared to other brands of the same power output. Came with everything needed to begin use, (engine oil, charged battery, battery for remote start). Fuel not included of course.

Westinghouse Generator

I purchased this generator a month ago and now have peace of mind in the event of a power outage. As a middle aged woman I needed something I could manage on my own. It is easy to start, I am able to maneuver it easily and the installation/equipment instructions were simple and clear.

Life saver

Our area was hit pretty hard by an ice storm. We were out of power and pretty cold in an all electric house. We bought this generator when our roads cleared. It was easy too hook into the house and runs what we need it to. Next time we lise power, we'll be golden

Very happy. But had a glitch.

Handles our 3 ton Trane 4YCY4030A HVAC unit with ease. 13,000 startup watts, 4,000 run watts - but we've installed a Micro-Air EasyStart Flex 398 Soft Starter so the startup only draws about 5,000 watts. Get an electrician to help you figure out the bonded/floating issue with the neutral. In our case, we installed a transfer switch dedicated to just the AC unit and will run 120v extension cords for any small items. If the 220v line is connected to the transfer switch, the green ground line is connected (regardless of switch position) all the way back to main panel where the neutral and ground are bonded, so we removed the neutral bonding cable on the generator like the manual shows (floating neutral). In this configuration though, if we ever use the generator without hooking up the 220v, we need to install a neutral/ground bonding plug in one of the 120v outlets (Amazon) Or - reinstall the neutral bond cable. All that is good and I wish I could give a 5 star review, but the glitch we had was that the remote start fob wouldn't pair. In the end it was low voltage from the supplied battery (2.8v doesn't cut it). However, that was found after 30 minutes on the phone with Westinghouse because of they have completely botched the technical write up in the user manual. There is a pairing button that isn't shown on any diagram or image of the unit, and the instructions say that its on the side of the control panel. Well. It's actually on the side of the control panel box. Not the same thing. Looking in from the generator end of the unit, there's a plastic box that houses all the wiring and outlets for the control panel, and it's on this, four to six inches into the unit where you'll find the pairing button. To make matters worse, the supplied manual is not the same as the current one online, and neither of those had the correct pairing instructions - I had to find those using Grok AI. You'd think this wouldn't be that hard for a company like Westinghouse to figure out and correct - they must have had a thousand people call in over this. I wasted an hour or more on this little problem and it's not appreciated. Fix your documents! It also wouldn't kill them to explain the bonded/floating neutral issue more thoroughly and to mention the option of a bonding plug. Unit is well made, well designed, and ours at least was manufactured in Vietnam.

It's pretty

I just bought it, and as soon as I started it the power came back on haha. So, that's the reason for four stars. I've got a couple of things plugged in just to break it in. It was super easy to assemble and run. I've also have a couple of buddies that have these generators and love them. So far I'm happy, it's better than my crappy ryobi that uses more starter fluid than gas to start.

Well made, easy to use

Just bought this generator to use for power outages at my home. Unit will be connected to a sub-panel. Received generator in a well packaged box in perfect condition. was easy to set up with the wheel package and to fill the oil with the included oil funnel. I connected the generator to a propane tank and started it using all three methods, (pull start, button on control panel and remote key fob). Generator started first time out of the box on first try using all three methods. I connected a few items to the generator and it produced plenty of power to run all of them at the same time. The controls and panel are easy to use and understand. I look forward to using this generator in the future if needed, it appears well made. I also have a 4500 watt Westinghouse duel fuel inverter generator that I use for my RV and have never had any issues with either. Highly recommend Westinghouse products.

flawless1

I bought this a few days ago. Assembly was very easy. Follow the instructions for starting and it started like a champ. Smooth running, and not as noisy as i expected, but i suppose when you start drawing power from it the noise level will increase. Remote worked flawlessly! Nice to get something like this and have it start flawless in this day and age.
