About this item

The French Appellation system is driven by the concept of Terroir—that wine grown in a particular location has a distinct individual character, created by that region’s unique combination of the key factors: geography, geology and climate. Member’s Mark Rosé was crafted by expert winemaker Guillaume de Chevron Villette as a classically expressive Provence Rose. Provence creates a famously elegant, pale and dry expression of Rose due to a warm Mediterranean climate, abundant sunshine and well-protected vineyards. Member’s Mark Rosé is a combination of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah given a very cool fermentation in stainless steel to maximize fruit expression and minerality resulting in a unique zesty finish reminiscent of the French Riviera.

This wine is completely whole bunch fermented with a short maceration of a few hours, sufficient to impart color and texture. Following a soft pressing, the juice is given a cool fermentation in stainless steel and allowed to ferment to almost complete dryness. Maturation on lees in stainless steel adds texture and malolactic fermentation is prevented to ensure vibrancy.

Very pale pink in color. The nose is aromatic and fresh with aromas of raspberry cream, strawberries, subtle brown spice and oyster shell. The palate is elegant with bright fruit flavors with spice and mineral hints and subtle chalky grip providing interest before lingering on a long, dry, savory finish.

Growing Location

This wine is made from carefully selected grapes grown at Reillanne estate in the Plaine des Maures.

Vineyard Features

To the Northwest of Saint Tropez and in the heart of Provence wine regions is where Cinsault and Grenache dominate. The vines are grown on the Argilo‑siliceous soils which have made the wines of Provence famous in their ability to be breathtakingly mineral and at the same time have a svelte texture with moderate acidity.

Winemaking Process

Member’s Mark Rosé is all about expressing the very best of the Provence vineyards. With this comes cutting‑edge technology and a great legacy of winemaking experience. We are also committed to sustainability in every aspect, with the winery almost entirely run on solar energy. To guarantee the long-living delicate aroma and flavor‑profile of Provence Rosé requires extremely careful handling of the fruit. To that end, we harvest only at night when the heat of the vineyard is at its lowest.

The fruit is a mix of machine and hand-harvested—machine in certain sites to ensure the shortest possible time from vine to press. As the fruit is received at the winery, it undergoes the revolutionary ‘optical sorting’ process—where the berries are put through the de‑stemmer and on the way to the press, pass on a conveyor where a computer visually assesses each berry. If the berry is not of optimum integrity, a microjet of air will remove the damaged or faulty berry from the sort. This incredible technology guarantees only the cleanest, most perfect fruit make it into this wine.

From here, the fruit enters the press to be gently squeezed under 100% inert nitrogen gas and finally into tank for settling and fermentation. We use a range of yeasts designed to maximize aromatic intensity but also retain mineral freshness and the wine is minimally treated on its way to the bottle.

Tasting Notes

A gorgeous shade of blush pink in the glass, the aroma profile invokes clear rose petals and bright summer berry characters, wrapped in a minerality that makes this wine exceptionally fresh. Member’s Mark Rosé is full-bodied with great complexity and elegance, delicious as an aperitif or with a range of Provençal cuisine.
