[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been taking Qunol for several years-I started when I was prescribed a statin drug to lower cholesterol. I was experiencing many side effects from the statin drug to include sinus headaches and joint pain. Someone-not my doctor- recommended Q-10 as a supplement to alleviate the joint and leg pain that commonly accompanied the use of statin drugs and it worked. I have since dropped the statins because they declared that I was allergic to them. However, I maintained my regimen of Co-Q 10 for heart health & early on-switched to Qunol because if its absorbability. This meant I could have the same protection by taking only one capsule a day.Now ,when I meet people who are taking statins I always recommend that they supplement their regimen with Q-10 and specifically I recommend Qunol because of the success I have had with the supplement. I have found that there are some responsible physicians who will recommend adding Q-10 to a statin prescribed patient's diet to offset the discomfort of leg & muscle cramping but I feel its my duty to catch those patients who have missed this advice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having read on the internet of cases where taking a relatively high dosage regimen of CoQ10 seemed to halt Parkinson's symptoms, I'm hoping for the same or at least a slowing of progression with ALS, which I have. My neurologist recommended it. As I've only been taking it a little over 2 months, it's too soon to draw any real conclusion. But progression during that time has been pretty slow. I got Ubiquinol because it's supposed to be more effective than the regular oxidized form of CoQ10, especially for old folks like me. And I got the Mega product since it's claimed to have superior solubility, being soluble in both water and oil. With my difficulty swallowing, I'm glad the shape of the capsules makes them easy to swallow. Hope it works!
