I bought this blender this spring and would use it regularly. Recently the blade assembly started freezing up and I am worried it will burn out the motor if this keeps up. I would not recommend this product.

The KitcheAid 5 Speed blender has very minor packaging. The blender comes fully assembled and ready to use right of the packaging. The blender is extremely well made. The base is completely metal and the blender is a very thick/dense plastic. This blender feels and looks like it is worth more than $100 dollars. The overall design is very sleek and modern, I have the "Empire Red" model and it is just refreshing to have brighter colors in the kitchen. The blender is very straight forward and simple to use. It has 5 blending settings: stir, chop, mix, puree, and liquify, with a crush ice and pulse setting on the bottom. Everything else in terms of use and functionality is typical of a blender. The cord is average length and will get you across most kitchen counters. Our household makes a lot of green smoothies so we tested this blender with a green smoothie. We put in kale, apple, blue berries, greek yogurt, and almond milk. The liquify mode was very strong and I could not feel very much of the apple peel. The kale is a little bit more difficult to liquify and you could feel some pieces as you drink. I also tested the remaining four settings and this blender has a good range of different blending modes for your needs. Overall, this blender is a great value for its functionality, build quality, and elegant design. I would recommend this blender to friends and family. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

So, I actually purchased this blender on sale. Originally it was about $100, but I paid just $25! I felt like I got a GREAT deal on it. I was so excited, because Kitchen Aid is an amazing brand, so to find it for so cheap was almost a miracle. I didn't go in with super high expectations, even though it's a very reputable brand. But I have to say, I love it more than any other blender I've ever owned. The pitcher is ONE piece, and SO easy to clean. The highest setting is about as loud as the first setting on most blenders, and the first setting is actually quiet enough I can hear what people are saying when I'm having a conversation while blending. I've never had that in a blender. I could keep going on and on about how much I love it, but you wouldn't truly understand without seeing it in person. It blends so smoothly, and doesn't sound or feel like the motor is working too hard to cut up ice. If you ever find one as cheap as I got it for, DON'T pass it up! 5* ALL THE WAY!

This blender brought back the performance Kitchenaid products had 30 years ago. It's built to last and it has power enough to the heaviest jobs. The diamond design jar works great, minimizing scraping the walls thanks to an improved vortex that drags everything to the blade. The base is metal, very heavy, perfect to keep the unit stable during use no matter what. A perfect addition to my kitchen, together with the bowl lift mixer, the coffee maker, spresso maker, hand blender and toaster, all by Kitchenaid. Kitchenaid is literally the very best brand in the world and average $100 for this blender is a steal, if we consider that a terrible quality Ninja Blender costs much more than that. In terms of quality and performance, above this Kitchenaid blender I can see only the Vitamix, but a Vitamix costs almost $500.
