I was tired of buying cheap toasters so decided to spend the extra money, to buy this one because I love my Kitchen Aid mixer, so this toaster will be great, Right?. Well I wish that were true. The problem is the inconsistency of toasting one batch after another. The first batch will be fine but the second batch comes out darker. I believe for the price I paid for this name brand item that it should toast the same batch after batch. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed.

I redid my entire kitchen about 3years ago and I got everything new and I mean everything but when it came to my appliances I wanted kitchenade because for as long as I can remember kitchenade appliances were the most reliable most durable and the best made and quality and beauty were never a question you could just count on it, and for the most part I am completely happy with all my kitchenade products except for 2 and this toaster in one of them. The toaster doesnt brown on one side of the toast, the lift up slider sticks and it just is very disappointing that it doesnt work the way I expected it to and for the price of this it should work flawlessly I could have boughton a cheaper model for alot less and it would have worked probably alot more efficiently. I loved this when I purchased it but the more I use it the more I am completely unsatisfied with this purchase,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4 slice toaster works great! I don't know if the slots are wider than normal, but my family is diggin' it! And who doesn't love a pop of color❤(I bought Red) Kitchen Aid has always been my go-to for small & large appliances alike.

My toast has been coming out perfectly and the toaster is very nice looking.The stainless steel is an easy upkeep. I had my previous KitchenAid toaster for 20+ years so I'm expecting great things from my new one!

Bought this a few months ago and just got to use last week at our condo . Set it on 3 on first use since at home normally I use 4. Well browned a lot more then expected in fact if I didn't hit cancel it would have burnt. Tried on 2 setting same thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 months ago. I didn't realize how inefficient my previous 2 slice toaster was. This new 4 slice device is the ticket. I am impressed with the consistency of tasting on all 8 sides of the 4 slices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this because of its capacity, high lift, cool sides and style. Most of the bad reviews state the toast is too over or under done. You don't have to select one number or the other, you can use an in between setting if necessary. We use a lot of toast in the morning around here and with the high wattage rating our needs are met in a jiffy. Our counter space is limited and the compact package is a nice fit. I did stick a set of "mini sliders" on the feet of the toaster so it slides out of its hole nicely. We've had this toaster for a month now and used several loaves of bread and a few bags of bagels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first KitchenAid - 4-Slice Toaster I've bought, and probably my last! I should've bought one years ago. The design is sleek and I love that it beeps when the toast is done. It's so quiet you can't hear the toast pop up.

I believe, at this time, that you can just “trust the name” & go with it since it does not come up in any of the toaster reviews. Our last 4 slice was also a very well known upscale brand (started with a C) but it was terrible & only lasted 2 years before one side just quit.
