It is not possible to get a light toast on this toaster. I have to stand beside it and manually pop the bread up halfway through even when it is set on level 1. Is it possible to adjust the temperature or time?

I bought a previous version of this toaster in 2008. After so many years and hard core use, it finally quit. It actually lasted longer than my refrigerator did. I bought this one to replace it.

This baby produces the toasty toast that I love! I really like the bagel feature. I have used it with burger buns...because I like them toasty as well...it toasts the inside but leaves the top and bottom soft! Perfect!!! Plus, it looks wicked slick on my counter. Matches my KitchenAid coffee pot and coffee grinder perfectly! Someday, I am going to have all KitchenAid appliances as well. Thanks again KitchenAid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been awhile since I've owned a regular drop in toaster. I've had a toaster oven for about 7 years. I switched back because I only ever really toasted things and I needed the counter space. This toaster is great. It doesn't burn the toast. It does amazing with bagels. My favorite thing is, it beeps when it's done. My old toasters would just pop up and when I'm running around I wouldn't hear it and my toast would get cold. The manual lever is helpful too so you don't have to fish out the toast.

We like the sound feature that alerts us when the the toast is done. When we toast bagels they come out evenly toasted. Our prior 4-slice Toaster wasn't great at all as after only a week of owning it, one of the manual levers stopped working. We know this toaster will not do that and it is going to last us for a while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The heating elements and finish of the materials are very good. The pull down mechanism on the right side does not function well. The depth of the toaster is too shallow. Bagels and larger bread do not get fully toasted.

I have had this toaster for about 2 weeks and it works great for toast but every time I try to toast a bagel the outside toasts but the inside is not! I would have thought this toaster would have worked better than the cheap off brands but sadly it is worse.

I try hard to stay in that theme and with Kitchen Aid it is both easy and beautiful. In addition to its looks and the MOST important part is the quality of the equipment. The dial to darkness setting works just as stated. I is one thru 5 and at one the toast comes out just golden brown and for Bagel you just pop it to 2 and hit the bagel button another golden brown and heated all through the slots are large enough you can almost place the whole bagel in the slot. But you will want it toasted through. Enjoy it I know I am
