Great camera for the price. Simple set up. Ensure it is charged prior to initial set up, otherwise it'll frustrate you. If the battery is depleted it will appear as though it is not powering up. Other than that it is a straight forward process to get up and running. The camera comes with changeable face plates (black and greenish) not available from SimpliSafe directly.

Installed SimpliSafe Video Doorbell with my Westminster Chime Doorbell Ststem. It didn’t work so I called SimpliSafe and was told by the technician that the wires were not screwed in tightly - they were. I purchased a second, identical Video Doorbell and got the same result. I returned BOTH units. Big waste of time!

We have this doorbell since Dec. 2023. This one was purchased for a family member. Both have been great. Both we self installed with no issues. We don't try to answer the doorbell on the app because we find it too slow. We are probably doing it wrong/poorly. We are happy with it in every other way. Previously we had the Google doorbell. The Simplisafe is by far our preference thus far.

Final piece of the pie for our home security system. The price was right and shipping was fast and it arrived on time as started. The only downside was it requires a chime module that you have to install in your doorbell chime assembly, an easy install but you have to get the chime module from SimpliSafe who’s customer service is second to none.

Works good within limits, video is good, motion detection works good although doesn’t detect as far out as I would like (we have a long narrow entry area) so I don’t think it is the unit’s fault, audio is good although you need to remember there is about a 2 second delay each direction when trying to speak to someone at the door. I am very satisfied for what I paid compared to other units available

Overall this is a good product but there are a few caveats. 1) Only some doorbells are compatible and SimpliSafe does not have a listing of those that are. I had to change out my digital doorbell as a result 2) The mounting bracket is fragile 3) I had to set the motion sensitivity to low because every car driving by set it off at medium sensitivity I would only recommend this if you have a SimpliSafe security system

Arrived as planned and I was happy with the item and the price. I like Wal-Marts non political position...my wife and I shop in the stores often. I do wish the shipping was just a bit faster on items not in our stores, but any time (rarely) need to return an item the employees at 183/620 store process it well.

Easy to install and works great with the SimpliSafe alarm system. Records motion near the doorbell and provides notifications when someone rings the doorbell or activates the motion sensor. You can also set different video recording resolutions based on your personal preferences.

I bought the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell, because I am a SimpliSafe customer. I had to order a mounting bracket off Etsy due to the type of siding we had. We finally got the doorbell attached, but our chime was buzzing very loud after it was attached. I contacted SimpliSafe and they sent a chime connector. Apparently this is a common problem, not only with them, but other companies. We are installing it tomorrow and hope I can finally use my video doorbell.

This SimpliSafe video doorbell is exactly what we were looking for. It shows you exactly who is at the door by alerting you on your phone, and you can speak to them .We signed up for the monitoring service. There is a small monthly fee, but I feel it is worth it. Only took about 30 minutes to install and set up. It's a great purchase. We feel safer knowing we have this extra security. I highly reccomend.
