I just purchased my SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro, Model SSDB3. I haven't got it working yet for two reasons., so I can't rate it fairly. 1) I'm having to charge the unit and it's taking a long time. 2) When trying to register my unit, they won't accept my S/N. I have used all the numbers on the unit, but none are accepted. What To Do ? Jimmy B

The instructions are easy to follow it took maybe 7-10 minutes to get the video doorbell installed. I love how it comes with three different colored face plates that would match anyone's style. The audio and video quality is great also. It's very sleak looking and put together well.

I'm not sure however if it's our apartment or what as it's right outside the door, not 15 feet from our (gaming) router and it still has difficulty maintaining a WiFi connection. Works wonderfully when it's working.

The picture quality is solid, even night vision, its 160 degree point of view. it help you see packages on the ground or people standing off to the side of your doorway. very impressive motion detector, notifications are quick. Its sleek design was an eye catcher. Its step by step install process was a breeze to follow too. Is a great addition to my home security suite. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SimpliSafe Pro Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is a decent video doorbell camera. The installation was quite easy. After removing the old doorbell, you have to screw the mounting bracket to the wall with the wires coming through the center of the new doorbell. Then you have to connect the wires to the mounting bracket, after that you’ll need to slide the doorbell she’ll into the place. The doorbell comes with a mini screw so you could secure the doorbell for safety precautions (so no one could take it off the wall). It also comes with two extra shells in color jade and obsidian. Once installed, you have to download the app, sign up and link your doorbell to WiFi Network. The video quality is 1080p and looks good during the daytime. The quality of the nighttime pictures isn’t that good, but acceptable. The application is easy to use and easy to navigate. You can only use a few features without the actual subscription which most of us try to avoid. You will only be able to view the video recordings if you have a monthly subscription. Make sure your Wi-Fi supports 2.4ghz, if not you won’t be able to link your device to the Wi-Fi. I think it’s a good video doorbell for those that don’t need something too advanced.

Hardware installation took about 10 minutes, downloading their app and setting up via the app took about another 20 minutes. After you complete the hardware installation, turn power to the circuit back on. After you download the mobile app and create an account, you utilize the mobile app to setup your door bell. The setup process was fairly easy, scanning for WiFi access and displaying available networks, all pretty standard. Overall works for what I need it to do.

I love that the picture quality is amazing. I love that simplisafe is very good quality. I love that this doorbell is easy to use. This is the best video doorbell ever I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Bought this doorbell and they’ve even sent a replacement once. It’s always offline and then it just doesn’t work anymore. I’m not sure what the deal is. Getting through to tech support is a joke 15minute wait times and then they answer and hang up. I’ve also tried emailing. Super frustrating and I’m getting ready to spend more money for a ring system.

Thin and not big which fits everywhere. Also the app is very easy to set up and use. It comes with 3 faceplate colors: cloud, jade & obsidian. Also this amazing video doorbell ignore all the distractions and focus on people. Some features of this camera are 2 way audio, 1080p HD, 162 degree view, among others. This camera is just great. Very easy to install and use. Highly recommended.
