As we have already experienced installing a different video doorbell a few years ago, the installation for the SimpliSafe was very easy. You have to download the app to assist with the installation and to have access to your camera/ videos and history. The camera’s image is clear and, depending on the position, it can show a wide range of your front porch. It also has night vision. There is a monthly fee if you want your videos saved in the cloud. We haven’t used the two way talking option a lot but what we have experienced so far is a clear, crisp sound without any weird static. The doorbell comes with 3 face plates in white, black, and a seafoam green, it also includes all the screws for installation. I believe it is a very nice product at a reasonable price.

Hardware installation took about 10 minutes, downloading their app and setting up via the app took about another 20 minutes. After you complete the hardware installation, turn power to the circuit back on. After you download the mobile app and create an account, you utilize the mobile app to setup your door bell. The setup process was fairly easy, scanning for WiFi access and displaying available networks, all pretty standard. Overall works for what I need it to do.

I just purchased my SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro, Model SSDB3. I haven't got it working yet for two reasons., so I can't rate it fairly. 1) I'm having to charge the unit and it's taking a long time. 2) When trying to register my unit, they won't accept my S/N. I have used all the numbers on the unit, but none are accepted. What To Do ? Jimmy B

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SimpliSafe Pro Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is a decent video doorbell camera. The installation was quite easy. After removing the old doorbell, you have to screw the mounting bracket to the wall with the wires coming through the center of the new doorbell. Then you have to connect the wires to the mounting bracket, after that you’ll need to slide the doorbell she’ll into the place. The doorbell comes with a mini screw so you could secure the doorbell for safety precautions (so no one could take it off the wall). It also comes with two extra shells in color jade and obsidian. Once installed, you have to download the app, sign up and link your doorbell to WiFi Network. The video quality is 1080p and looks good during the daytime. The quality of the nighttime pictures isn’t that good, but acceptable. The application is easy to use and easy to navigate. You can only use a few features without the actual subscription which most of us try to avoid. You will only be able to view the video recordings if you have a monthly subscription. Make sure your Wi-Fi supports 2.4ghz, if not you won’t be able to link your device to the Wi-Fi. I think it’s a good video doorbell for those that don’t need something too advanced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this, I do love this but it's missing some key thing I was hoping for. First things I love. It was simpler then I was expecting to set up and Install which was great. It contacted easily yo my wifi router which is located right inside the door. The video quality is amazing. It quickly and effective shows when someone is near the door. I live on a pretty busy road and am pleased that it doesn't constantly set off the motion detector. Now onto the bad. I don't like that it doesn't save even for a short time any of my videos I less I pay more money. My last camera was cheaper and didn't charge me to save my videos.

The features of it canceling out cars etc is perfect if you live on a busy road like me. It has worked perfectly and I’ve had no issues. I love that it records even without the button being pushed.

Upon opening the package the doorbell is inside, instructions, 3 face plates in white, black, and a seafoam green, and the screws for installation. Downloading the app was simple and easy to find, upon setting up our account, the app walked us through installation. Connecting the doorbell to the app was a breeze, one thing we have not figured out yet is if we can turn off the chime to the doorbell in our house as when it rings our dogs go crazy and wake up my overnight sleeping husband. The display is crisp, clear, and shows a wide range of our front porch and driveway area. The nighttime mode is okay, it doesn't really show much except dark, we were hoping for it to be a little more lighter than it is. The two way talking is nice to have, the sound is clear, not at all static sounding. This doorbell can be turned on or off via the app, no battery is required it runs off inside source and being hooked up the the previous doorbell wires. Our wifi is strong enough for the doorbell to work without any disconnections. We are going to be adding to this doorbell and getting another for the back of the place as well. Overall we are satisfied it works as it should and was easy peasy to install and hook up.
