I bought this and had it installed for about a week now. Definitely NOT wireless. It requires Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) AND a power source. It connects to previously installed doorbells (so two wires, or you can purchase a solar panel for it). We didn't have a doorbell on our house, so we bought an AC plug-in adapter/transformer and routed it through the wall to connect to the camera. We have had zero issues with the unit so far. The resolution is great. Sadly, the unit is too sensitive. The Motion Sensor continues to react to cars driving in the street, 25 feet in front of the house (with a yard and tree in the front of it). Even when the sensitivity is set to the minimum AND I block out the street inside the set up menu. So it records more than 50 times every day. Annoying really, but it works as advertised. Two-way talking, easy set-up, clear picture, and night vision. Also comes with 2 different color faceplates to choose from (Black or Jade) and an angled wall mount.

Product co Stanly drops connection despite being on the other side of the wall from an Orbi router with a dedicated IOT network sending 2.4 GHZ signal. Tried several units. Father also had same issue with his purchase. Terrible purchase, go with a Ring. Other simplisafe products work great.
