The nuts are generaly fresh and crunchy though need to be refrigerated to slow rancidness, the bags used to be mostly nuts, but now every bag has a few table spoons of BITTER chaff nut skins and internal shell fragments. Price is about as good as it gets though so I am still buying them.

Great price for 3 lbs of shelled walnuts! We eat them regularly on a variety of salads, in breads, desserts, breakfast, all the things. I've never had a spoiled bag and I grab one every time I'm in Sam's. I do store mine in the freezer to keep them fresh.

I am a price shopper. Unlike many, I don't buy everything at Sam's, only when Sam's has the best price. If you like walnuts, these win. Very few broke pieces. They are fresh and yummy and have always been IN stock when I need them. I buy a variety of nuts at Sam's, mix them in a large roasting pan, and pack them in little zippy snack bags. Great for a healthy take a long snack at work, school or instead of junk food when watching TV. I save the snack bags and reuse them for the next time. As a bonus, the plastic "jar" is sturdy and easily reusable to store a ton of items. Pet toys, pet treats, cereal, pasta, dried beans, nuts and bolts in the workshop, spare change, Q Tips, cotton balls, etc.. I never throw them out or recycle.

I use walnuts a lot in baking and especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Walnuts also are the highest nutrition value of 'nuts' so - I choose walnuts quite often replacing pecans or replacing half pecans with walnuts. These are a great value, high quality - and very worthwhile. Thanks Sam's Club for carrying these great walnuts.

They are good walnuts for the price, but there's a lot of "dust" in the bottom of the bags that often has pieces of shell in it. We use a lot of walnuts, and these are the cheapest I've found, so I keep buying them. Just have to be careful when we get to the bottom of the bag.

The price is excellent but the product could improve. There are several blackened, poor tasting nut pieces included in the bag. I miss the days when Sams carried a brand name product of much greater quality than this store brand. Many thanks f their store re brand products are excellent but this could be improved

I would give less than one star if I could! Husband Found a huge shell in my baked cookies and ruined 3 batches of cookies as I threw away for fear more smaller pieces could have broken off. Wasted all my ingredients and my husband almost broke a tooth. Called store and basically said would return nuts but who pays for all the wasted ingredients!!?!??

I purchased these online and when they came they were rancid. I returned them and was refunded/ I went to store and purchase them thinking that the heat had something to do with the freshness in delivery. The store walnuts were also rancid but not as strong as the online delivery.

Bag delivered torn down side, left on porch, no external packaging. Called Sam’s spoke to local store’s customer service and store manager, they refused to pick it up curbside for replacement. I explained I use a wheelchair and it was difficult to get into store, which is why I had ordered it for delivery. I explained that I needed the item replaced timely for a family gathering. They refused to replace unless I came into store. Very unpleasant and discourteous clerk and manager.

I always keep these walnuts on hand but occasionally I find that some of them in the bag are old tasting. It's like the manufacturer mixed old nuts with fresh nuts. I have returned a couple of bags to Sam's Club with no issues but it's a hassle. I do keep mine in the freezer to help keep them fresh and only keep out enough to snack on. When they are fresh, they are delicious and a good price.
