Great Quality and Price

I bought these a few weeks ago and store them in the freezer. I love the resealable bag because I roast them in the oven along with almonds and walnuts so that I have them available as snacks and for oatmeal or yogurt. They're both a great quality and the bulk price on them is wonderful.

Daily chef pecan

I have purchased several packages of these over time and have had over half with strong stale taste. I finally got tired of losing my money and returned for refund..was told this was her first return on these pecans. Will not buy this brand again. Beware.

I should have know better than to buy on line.

As soon as I opened the box and saw how dark they were, I knew they were an old crop of pecans. Fresh pecans are a light brown. I quickly picked these out of two cups. Very dark and some mold. Unfortunately, I purchased 2 bags. The expiration date is 4/l/22 so they are in my freezer as they will only get worse.

We buy these often as they are my husband's favorite snack, but the last two times we have gotten them they have been very dry and strong like they are from a crop that is at least three years old. We always get older tasting nuts when we order online but they haven't been good in store either.

Unusable

Hate to knock a product this much, but the overall quality of these pecans made them unusable. Many "off taste" in the mix. The "off" pecans were noticeably darker and smaller. This was my second poor bag--2 months apart. The value would have been great if the product had been usable.

Quality Problem

Purchased this brand because the old brand is no longer at Sam's. Made a very large batch of cookies for a client and had to toss them all and make something else; waste of my time and ingredients. Nuts were stale. Thought maybe it was just a bad batch of nuts so purchased another bag. Opened them and tasted them, same bad flavor. Fed them to the squirrels. They are priced right but I cannot use them. Hope the old brand comes back into stock.

Dried out and shriveled

I have been buying shelled pecans at Sam's for years because of the value and the quality of the product. This year, however, our Sam's switched to this brand and I hope they will switch back before next Christmas. The pecans are shriveled and dried out looking. They taste is actually ok but the halves are such a dark brown that they look burnt. I used them for baking but did not like using them as garnish or decoration where they could be seen. I hope the other brand will come back soon so I can continue to purchase at Sam's

Not fit for a Squirrel

I have been buying this product for years from Sams. This particular time there is something obviously different in the nuts themselves. I do not know if they have gotten a different supplier or it was a bad pecan crop but these were not up to the quality that I have come to expect from Sams. Being from the South, I grew up with pecans all over the place in our yard and have enjoyed some of the best. These are chalky or mealy textured. If they were baked, I would say they were overdone. They are dry and have a slight bitterness to them. My wife will not eat them at all. I am sure they would make a halfway decent pie but as for eating them plain, they are way below par and I am very disappointed. I hope that if Sams went elsewhere to get their pecans, that they will reconsider the decision for the future. I will buy again but if they taste like these do then that will be the end for us and this brand.

Disappointed

Our bag has a expiration date of July 1, 2014, It seems to be from last years crop as the pecans were stale. We will look for another source when my wife does her Christmas baking next year. I'm very disappointed as i've been a loyal Sam's/Wal Mart customer for decades.

I have been extremely disappointed with the last two purchases of your pecan product. This week, I had to throw out 1 out of 2 cups! The pecans were spoiled! The last bag was not much better. What happened to your quality? I've used all types of your nuts and used to be very satisfied. These just don't live up to Sam's quality.
