I thought it was just me that noticed this brand new packaging of pecans was not good. I noticed shells, which was never a problem and also the nuts looked rotten, they black spots and very dark marks and soft on a lot. I'm considering taking these back for refund, that's too much money to waste. I'm going elsewhere to buy my pecans.

Always bought Young's pecans at Sam's but the Sam's I was at, had Daily Chef. They were a little cheaper than Young's but the quality was disappointing. Tasted old and the date on the bag was good through 2015. I hope all Sam's don't change to Daily Chef or I'll be going elsewhere to buy pecans. About the only reason I have a Sam's membership.

I used to keep these pecans in my house, if I ran out, I would buy more. The last 3 times I purchased they were dry. A lot of them were black and I had to throw the black ones away. I thought that it was a bad batch. I bought them the 3rd time with the same results. I will not purchase again. I expect better from you Sam's Club.

I have bought these pecans several times and was very pleased with quality and taste. However I was disappointed with this particular bag because the nuts tasted old—not fresh like the usual bags I had gotten before. Disappointing to pay that much and get poor quality.

I have been buying these for years and years and never had a problem with them. I just bought a bag a few weeks ago and as always when I get home I immediately transfer them to a airtight storage container. When i dumped them into the container I noticed a lot of them were black. I picked them out threw them away and sealed up the container. Yesterday I opened the container to use them in baking and when I opened the airtight container moths flew out. They had to have been infested with larva in the bag when I purchased them. So I had to throw away all of them.Disgusting.

I bake on an almost industrial scale. I prefer pecans to walnuts and other cheaper nuts because the flavor is preferred by almost everyone I bake for. This was not an issue as Sam's Club had great pecans at unbelievable prices. Since changing brands, the quality has plummeted. The new pecans are almost inedible. How is it a deal if your baked goods end up terrible tasting because of nuts that should have been rejected at the processing facility (or perhaps they were and are now set aside for Sam's Club?). 10+ years of buying thousands of dollars worth of baking products at Sam's and I am now evaluating all of my baking ingredient purchases that used to be no brainers at the club. I don't understand why Sam's couldn't have just bumped the prices up a little and continued to provide the quality members had come to expect. Most people understand that good quality costs money - and Sam's still would have had a great product at a good price.
