I buy these for my rental properties as well as all my kitchens. They are inexpensive. Sharpen easy, and very strong. I don't know what else someone would want in a knife?

These knives slice through hot brisket and rib cartilage like butter! if you cook barbecue, you need these knives! Cutting a hot brisket is difficult with most knives, but we were able to, with no problem. The size of these knives give you options when cutting brisket, ribs, chickens, sausage, or any other meats. We are pairing this set with the Santuko knives, and the large cutting board, as gift sets to our friends that do a lot of barbecue. They all love the combination.

These are a much higher quality than the price would suggest, and a set that every kitchen should have. We had one of these for at least 5 years (still have it) and my wife has actually used it with a hammer to break apart frozen hamburger meat. VERY Durable, though I still cringe at the thought of hammering on one and don't recommend that. HA!

I purchased this pair of knives primarily for the 10" knife. Out of the package, both knives have a burr on the edge, meaning that they were sharpened, but not honed at the factory. It's relatively easy to fix with a steel or honing rod, but I'd rather not have to. Even then, the blades were sharp, but not razor sharp. The handles are comfortable and the blade steel seems reasonably hard and takes a good edge that shouldn't have to be resharpened frequently. Overall, these knives are great for the price.
